Have I lost my mind?

I am thinking about staying in Moscow by myself for the 10 days wait. Aaron may or may not come back and help me bring Mr. Blue Eyes home, but I suspect he will.

My husband can't fathom me being there by myself, but we have our friends, our agency reps who I could call if it was an emergency and last but not least, the embassy.

I love Russia and the people and everything there. It has always been my dream to go there. And now I get to. And I kind of feel like my husband thinks I am not a big girl enough to do it on my own.

Am I really nuts to think I could stay in a country of people that look just like me for 10 days?

Maybe it is all the pain meds I am taking for my back...LOL!

I'll say go for it...why not?...I mean people that you know will be there so...it will be a good time to explore and to get to know your roots...if I remember you mentioned that your background is from Russia...right?

Of course you should stay there and enjoy the heck out of yourself. It's a chance of a lifetime and it will give you an opportunity to learn baby's country and traditions first hand so you can share with him later. And of course DH will worry. But you ARE a big girl now.

You can do it and I say go for it.

I defintely agree with Mely and Marian. Marian brings up a good point that you can use this time to learn more about the country that you will be able to share later. I think that will be great knowledge to have, especially if your roots are in Russia. I know my husband probably wouldn't want me to go alone either, if he couldn't go he would probably try to send my mom, lol. I would tell him if it is okay for me to go to the mall alone then it is okay for me to go to another country alone, lol!! I get in more trouble at the mall, and he hasn't seen anything yet, just wait until all of the pink comes!! Anyway, I think that this would be a great opportunity, and if everything works out I would jump on it.

I would totally stay - but for completely selfish reasons - I can't fathom flying that long flight that many times in such a short time period.

I agree you can handle it and its not like you would be alone - you have the agency people. Would you be able to see Ryan in that in between time?

Keep us posted. I'm getting so excited for you - lots of big changes by the end of summer for lots of us (and today's only the first full day of summer)!

I agree with the others, I think you should stay.

It's a fantastic opportunity to get to know a country and it's the country where your son was born, so, the more you learn, the more you can share.

Enjoy yourself and turn it into a vacation too.

Thanks for all the encouragement ladies.

We bought the plane tickets for both trips yesterday as we decided it was way too much time for me to be away from my other 2 kids. I am okay with it as we are going back a couple days early on trip 3 to do some sightseeing with our friends over there.

Looks like Mr. Blue Eyes should be home about August 9th. I can't believe it!

You never know that may have been the way things were meant to work out. August 9th is sooo close, it is already almost July!!!
