and they are not recommending that Lilly go to live with her aunt. They think she should stay where she is! Now all we have to do is convince a judge. Anyone know how to do hypnosis?

I am an old poster who used to be on the IVF boards ages and ages ago before it was sheknows. I rarely post anymore, but I do lurk occasionally. Anyway, I have followed your story because it is very similar to may cases I used to be involved with as a child psychologist working with children in foster care. I have been through so many of these situations where biology trumps all else, but in your case it is so troubling to me that they would consider moving a child from her only attachment figures to a complete stranger. If this caregiver had an interest in parenting, she should have been asking for visits and getting to know your daughter all along. The trauma of this change could really be something from which your sweet daughter would never fully recover. As an attachment expert. I feel SO strongly about this. Anyway, I hope you are able to get a child psychologist to testify on Lily's behalf. If you have any questions about all of this, feel free to pm me! Good luck!

I'm so happy for you Marian . I will be ing for you & Lilly, I'm just so . I really hope the judge takes into consideration the bond you & your family have with Lilly, if this aunt really wanted to be a part of her life she would of done it the day she went into care. & keep us posted!

I agree with you all! I think Lilly really should stay where she is. We won't get to have our say though until her pre-placement hearing. And I won't know when the date for that is until Monday! Stay tuned!
