I received the call from my Social Worker today before I went to work. She needs two weeks more to finished with a homestudy and then will be our turn!

I am so freaking happy!!!!

and the best news is that we have the date for the first appt.....it's going to be on March 27th!!!!

can you tell how happy I am!!!!!

So now I need to know what I need to do and get done for this first appt beside having the house clean.

Please fill me in with hints...should I bake cookies that day, should I have snacks to offer her or should be more profesional and casual???

I feel just like Snoopy!

My advice, just relax and be yourself. It really isn't that bad.

with Andrea! If you are the type that always bakes cookies before people come, then by all means bake some cookies. If you are not (like me), then don't. As much as you can just be yourself and remember that they want to approve you as much as you want to be approved. They are there to help you achieve your dreams.

I am so happy for you! This is just the best news. I hope you keep us updated about everything along the way.

I am so happy for you, the two weeks will be over before you know it.

I wouldn't worry to much about the visits, I mean I know easier said then done, I ran around the house and cleaned from floor to ceiling, reaarranged cleaning supplies, medicine cabinets, you name it and I did it. And do you know that my sw never left my dinning room. :duh

So I would say just stay as relaxed as you can and be yourself.

Oh, my appointment was right before dinner so I made like some hot tea and then had a veggie plater out for people to just pick at as they went.

sounds wonderful - I agree be yourself! Glad to see you gathering steam and getting the train moving. You will have your house over-run with kiddos before you know it and having just Zoulanche will be a distant memory!

Yeap, I already have plans in taking all the stuff that we have in the room before the sw comes even though we wont buy any furniture until we know what we will get, at least I want it empty...right now that room is what ever we have that we don't know what to do with it we put it there...so is REALLY MEASY!

Yay! Truly, the are they to make sure things are safe, not bleached and super clean. I baked cookies, had tea ready and she had none of it. Of course we all know how I feel about our SW...LOL!
