the frustration has set in!

So we called our SW to find out where we are on the wait list (like she said we could) since we haven't heard anything since getting on the list and are still at #12. We have been there since October and haven't moved at all! Still up 4 places since August so......Also the agency is moving it's office right now and has everything on hold until the 1st of the year. She also told us that SHE would call US when it's time to get started and that we should just be paitient. I thought I was, I ahven't called or talked to her in almost 2 months! Am I horrible that I don't like this waiting to get going?

Hey, anybody know what's going on with the members only thing?

Don't ever let them make you feel like you can't call because communication is key during all of this and if you need a check in to make you feel better then so be it. Lu calls our agency every other friday and the director laughs at her. Sometimes she just calls them to tell them about dreams she had regarding adoption.

Anyway- You keep calling girl!

Waiting is so horrible...in the adoption world we all hurry up to wait and it just kills no matter what stage it is.

I'll do a seperate thread about the private board.

Chrissy, hope that you get some answers and that you move up on that list quicker

....I guess that waiting is the worst. Hang in there my friend!

I don't know how you girls do it being so patient, I probably would be calling her on a weekly basis too! That's one of the main reasons we choose foster to adopt instead of waiting it out and hoping they found a legal risk child for us. Here's to hoping you get moved up the list

Oh I hear you about the frustration. It is SO HARD when it is totally out of our control. I look forward to the day when I get a little of that back.

Thanks for letting me vent ladies, and for making me feel less crazy! I'm sure they get sick of all the calls too but hey, how else can I celebrate each time we move up a spot if I don't know? I'm sticking to the plan of calling every 2 months!

Wow, that would really frustrate me too! I can't believe you waited two months...it sounds like you are being really patient to me. I would be calling like crazy but I just like to be informed even if it's just to know that I'm still waiting. I would think that they should be okay with you calling and my agency said I could call when I wanted even if it's something silly...boy they didn't know what they were getting into when they said that to me
