Foster update

The GAL (kid's lawyer) came over last night because she needed to meet with the kiddos prior to their hearing. We were told that the next hearing was scheduled for Dec 20th - WRONG! The GAL told us that the state was supposed to notify us of all hearings. It was re-scheduled for today at 830am. We found out about this at 730pm last night! No time for us to make arrangement to be there - however she stated that she didn't even think we would be allowed to speak and she would update us after the hearing. Mom is still claiming medical neglect/abuse on the part of the medical staff against her kids - although in the 7 months they been care there has been no new injuries. They have been in respite twice now and I have had friends helping me out lately as I recover from my birth. So all together they have been in 5 different homes without any injuries. Her lawyer are saying its a medical condition and new breaks could happen at anytime. Interesting yet unbelievable IMO.

At this time she is recommanding that the children remain in care. Please keep these three kiddos in your thoughts and pray that they will remain safe no matter what their future holds for them!

I know exactly how tenuous your situation is. I will be sending nothing but positive thoughts for those kids your way. I never got to talk in any of the hearings, except the last one. I'd be so angry at them for messing up the dates!

I hope that they can see right through that mother's defense. A medical condition my butt.

How are you doing? I think of you often and all that you have on your plate. How's our precious new baby boy? Is Hannah still a jealous girl? Are the rest of the kids good with him? I don't know how you do all you do. Sounds like you are getting some help from your friends. That's good to hear. Now is a good time to accept all offered assistance!

We're thinking about getting another baby to foster. I'll have to put you on speed-dial for tips on how to live with so many babies!

I will continue to keep them in my thoughts and prayers and hope.

How are you feeling? I know you have alot on your plate right now? Is DH home with you or does he have to travel still? How is everyone adjusting with the newest member of the family?
