April was the second month in an early Roman calendar, but became the fourth when the ancient Romans started using January as the first month.
The Romans called the month Aprilis. It may come from a word meanting 'to open', or it may come from Aphrodite, the Greek name for the goddess of love.
The name Easter owes its origin from Eastre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess who symbolizes hare and egg.
When it comes to eating of chocolate bunnies, it is the ears that are preferred to be eaten first by as many as 76% of people.
In spring, the axis of the Earth is increasing its tilt toward the Sun and the length of daylight rapidly increases for the relevant hemisphere. The hemisphere begins to warm significantly causing new plant growth to "spring forth," giving the season its name.
Passover, the popular Jewish holiday, is celebrated in remembrance of the Exodus of the Jews from Egypt.
During the seven or eight days of Passover, only unleavened bread is eaten and foods containing yeast are strictly avoided.
Noelle (Wanna-b-mom)
Noelle (Wanna-b-mom) has been a member of SK since 2008. Noelle and her DH have been together for 14 and a half years! Thier first kiss was when they were only 14 years old but they didn't 'hook up' again until 5 years later. They met through a mutual friend in a ruin of a castle for that infamous first kiss! They enjoy doing EVERYTHING together! :-) Going for walks in the forest and on the beach. Surfing. Music concerts. They would like to have 2 children but unfortunately they have been ttc #1 for nearly 5 years now
If you ask all her buddies, they'll tell you she's quiet quirky...but if you ask her, well its all normal as far as she's concerned  . BUT from feedback, she thinks they are referring to her diet - she classes herself as a fussy vegetarian and she generally has a 'routine' on how she eats her food. Plus she is apparently a good cook (referring to meat based dinners - as she can't/don't taste it) BUT the thing is that she has no problem touching raw meat but absolutely won't or can't touch cooked meat, it makes her skin crawl just thinking about it!
This spring Noelle is looking forward to seeing her flowers grow and bloom - she planted her own seeds this year, she used to colour co-ordinate but this year she wants loads of colour, so she can't wait to see how it all turns out. She also plans on getting the house ready for the arrival of their yet to be conceived first born...She wants it all done in the coming weeks as she wants to be able to put her feet up and enjoy being pregnant without looking around the house saying 'I wish I'd done that before I got pregnant'!
