Icon11 Anyone thought of names yet?

Now that we have all the paperwork turned in, my mind is actually grasping that in a month or 2 we could have a picture of our child!! I guess all my pregnancy losses really robbed me of hope when it comes to thinking about getting a baby. I am all about IF not WHEN.

I have been tossing names around the last couple days in my head. Did any of you decide what the name was before you saw the child? Did you have a back up just in case the name didn't "fit"?

We have one boy name: Nolan. Not too hispanic. We plan to keep the childs given name as one of the middle names.

Our girl names are:
Veronica
Jayla
Lilliana

Why is it so much easier to name a girl??

Would love to know your thoughts.....
Nicole

We have names picked out already. We have Isaac Ross for a boy (Ross is dh's first name) and Isabelle Louette for a girl (Louette is my Middle name, my Mom's middle name and a combination of my grandparents first names).

Although the middle name could change if the birthmom wants some say in that, or we could add another middle name too. It all depends.

I like the name Jayla

Some other names we considered were:

Girls:
Kaylee
Kelsey
Paige
Reese
Riley
Paisley

Boys:
Brayton
Brayden
Brett
Zane
Ian

I'm really partial to Lilliana! In fact, if we keep Miss Lilly, I'm not sure we won't name her that.

We had a whole slew of names we liked and wrote them all down and then we had two failed matches so now we are waiting until we are 100% matched with a baby, I can't run out of all the good names...you know what I mean...

For a girl it would be

Josephine Ann
Eva Patricia

For boys we like (no middle names picked yet)
Jude
Max
Sam
Ben
Seth
Augusto
Leo

It is so hard to find that one perfect name!!!

We like Norelle for a girl and maybe Layton for a boy. I want to incorporate the bparents names somehow for the middle names...

we will use Elijah for a boy, and call him Eli. We would like to use the middle name Quinn for a boy or a girl, to honor our beautiful Catti. Or, Keith's middle name is Edward, which is FIL's name, so that sounds nice too I think. And then always leaving the option for the birthmom to utilize the middle name as well.

Keith has always loved the name Quinn, and I am semi-open to it for a first name for a girl.

We have loved the name Aoife (ee-fa, gaelic for Eva) since we were pregnant with Mairi. That is on the table for a first or middle name for a girl as well.

The number one for girl first name though is Eliana which means God answers. I love Eliana Aoife.

Also for boys names, that I like, but Keith HATES so we'll never use HAHAHA are Sebastian and Lucien.
