Icon9 Another avenue closed....

Well, we are withdrawing our names from the Colombia program. Because of my age, we can't get a newborn, and we decided that in our heart of hearts, that is really what we want.

So, we are putting our eggs in a couple baskets.

We are in the IOA book with our agency, and we have a doctors appointment tomorrow to talk to our OB about getting pregnant again. He seems to think that since they have never figured out why I have had these losses, that enough time has passed to give my body a rest.
I am not sure if my pysche could handle another loss, so we have alot to think about.

Sorry I have been so scarse.....

Wow, that is a big thing to think about. Trust your heart and see what happens. Hoping for the best!

Sorry about the Columbia program. That is so frustrating.

And wow Nicole, you are going to talk about getting pregnant again. You are a brave woman.

I'll be thinking of you...

Oh Nicole, I am so sorry to hear about the Columbia program. I know that must be very hard to have to pull your names there but I am so glad to hear you two are really going for what you want.

Good Luck with the trying to get PG, I can only imagine how nervous you must be going down that road again.

Keep us posted!!!

So, after meeting with the doctor and getting told my chances are 50/50, we are not going to get PG again. No way no how. Might as well as put a closed sign over my belly.
Our international social worker was sad to see us go (NOT) but we feel good about our choice.
We were told our profile was sent to Duluth to be looked at, so we will see if anything comes of that. I am not holding my breathe.
We will talk more about advertising after the first of the year.
Feels good to have let go of the dream of carrying to term. I think I am more relieved than anything.

Oh Nicole. Man, that is hard to hear, but so freeing! 50/50 would not be good enough odds for me either. I just think you have been through too much girl!

I hope something comes of your profile in Duluth! One of these times is going to be your time. And you have a great profile.
