Who's still wearing your baby?
We are but not as much. He doesn't really like many of the positions very much anymore, like he kicks to get out of kangaroo and he leans waaaaaaaay back to see when I've got him in tummy-to-tummy. I don't feel comfortable in hip yet but I may later.
I bought a new solar veil sling from zolowear and that may be where my problems are actually coming from. I don't like it because it stretches so much and I feel like I can't get it tight enough. I think I'm going back to my old one.
Anyway, what are your experiences, now, as they're older?

Re: Who's still wearing your baby?
We are still but not quite as much. I wear her on my hip a lot in our Kangaroo Korner adjustable fleece pouch. Also a bit in the Pikkolo carrier we have - especially for outside because she can wear her snowsuit and be in that easily. I actually wore her on my back for the first time last week getting some stuff done around the house. I wore her in a mei tai then. My 3 year old still likes to tackle her so when I need to get stuff done and need to make sure she's out of harm's (her brother's) way, I wear her.

Re: Who's still wearing your baby?
still wearing shaun, but we gave up the sling awhile ago...it was hurting my shoulder horribly and shaun wasn't a big fan, so we found a wrap at a yard sale and switched to that, and we're both more comfortable. mostly we just use it when we're shopping...he still prefers to just be carried around the house when its possible...

Re: Who's still wearing your baby?
I washed my sling, and have been too lazy to iron it out flat well, i guess not too lazy, just havent been feeling like taking the time to do it... if i get a minute to myself, i try to clean. or read. LAst time i had him in it, i did the hip. It hurt my shoulder (ring sling) but only the first day. If i wear it bit by bit, i guess i adjust to it and it doesnt hurt.
Like Randi tho, im mostly just packing him around in my arms.

Re: Who's still wearing your baby?
I found Marley was getting too heavy for my to wear her without killing my back. But, one of these days I'm going to dig out the old instruction manual for my wrap and try her on the side. Now that she's out of her infant car seat and I have to dig her out of it anytime we go somewhere, I think the wrap will come in more handy now.

I use our Hotsling all the time, even for carrying her around the house. We like the side/hip carry now.

Re: Who's still wearing your baby?
We still are using the bjorn when we go out....but he's definitely reaching the max weight for my back. I have a moby wrap and sling but never really got the hang of either of them I should probably check out some side and/or back holds with them. Mr. Kieran does not like car seats or stroller so it's either wear him or hold him...

Re: Who's still wearing your baby?
Missy, is there actually pressure on your hip when you carry that way or is it all in the sling and on your shoulders/back? I wonder if I"m doing it right. I have AWFUL hips (from carrying ds2 around on them for hours and hours in the gardens everyday when we first moved here) and it hurts a bit. I know i'll be one of the old people who breaks their hip and has to have a replacement.
