Icon5 Teething Order

I found this chart for the order of teeth coming in:

The average time and usual order of appearance is
Four central incisors (cutters) start appearing at around 6-7 months
Four more side incisors appear at around 8 months
Four back molars (chewing teeth) appear at between 10-14 months
Four canines (pointed teeth) appear at around 16-20 months.
Four more back molars appear at between 24-30 months.

For the babies that have teeth already, is your baby following this pattern?Aliya is not. She has the four central incisors, one of the side incisors has jut popped thru on the bottom and she now has one back molar on the bottom that just popped thru over the last several days, I saw that her back gum was swollen when she cried, but didn't think it was possible until I saw a white speck in there the other night, stuck my finger in her mouth and it was a jagged edge, you can really see it as of today. I can't remember what order my son's came in.

For those of you whos babies don't have teeth yet, this portion of the article may give you some peace of mind:

Early and late teethers
The order of appearance is an average only. It's worth remembering that babies do vary. Some children have no teeth at a year and a very few are born with a tooth or two. Unlike body growth, the appearance of your baby's first teeth is not influenced by how well he eats or how healthy he is - teeth appear when they are ready.
