Default Mother's Day!

Okay, so I had to call out of work for the first time already. And's had a fever all week. Monday it was 104.5! And simply would not break. For three days the lowest I saw it was 101.3. And that's with alternating Tylenol and Motrin as per ped. Anyway, John stayed home with him for the first two days but had to go back today so here I am. Luckily tomorrow he already has scheduled off, so I can go to work tomorrow.

Now, I would like to thank Danielle for my Mother's Day card! The note was so thoughtful! And since you brought it up, here's my John Jr Mother's Day story . . .

I went to pick him up from daycare right before Mother's Day and outside his classroom there was a HUGE poster with the words 'Why My Mom is the BEST!' written across it and all around that were cute little sentences written in kid-writing why their mom is, in fact, the best. At the bottom there was a little note that said something like, 'guess who said what?' So, I bent down and was reading all of these cute, little things written. Like, 'my mom's the best because she takes me to the doctor when I'm sick,' and 'my mom's the best because she gives me fruit snacks,' and 'my mom's the best because she reads to me at night.' Then my eyes stopped at one that said, 'my mom's the best because she makes me cupcakes,' and I thought, 'how sweet!' but then out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of just one word and my heart stopped for a minute. That one word was 'hmmm,' and I just knew. My son said, 'hmmm.' He couldn't come up with one good thing to say about me? Nope. Simply, 'hmmm.' I pulled the teacher aside and as soon as she saw my face she started cracking up. I don't think I got the whole question out when she said, 'you know him so well.' Later that night after hours and hours and hours of begging him to come with something he finally said, 'you make great pancakes.' I almost made him go to school and pencil that in but I thought it might be pathetic.

Yeah, if I were the teacher I would have made him change that. Good thing I'm not a teacher huh?

What's up with And-And's fever?

Poor Andy, Aliya had a high fever for about 7 days back in January, I thought it would never go away, they finally did a flu test in her nose and it was positive, she never really had any other symptoms other than the fever, I hope he feels better soon.

P.S. I love to hear stories about John Jr.

Hehe, knew John Jr. wouldn't let me down. He cracks me up every time. sorry my card was late- I'm never on time anymore it seems (my poor aunt didn't even get her's cuz I had a melt down and couldn't find her address then no stamps so I just gave up...maybe one day I'll get my time managment back..lol)
On another note Gracie was acting funny mond. sent DH with her to pedi. he comes back tells me she has a throat inf... so ok what kind- strep/tonsilitis..WHAT!!! Says I don't know she just gave her some abx. well the fever kicked in 2 days later- we've been fighting it too since wed. Blew my mini-vac out the water, since she's never really had a fever I didn't know how she'd act, was too afraid to be out of her element and all hell break loose so we stayed home. Between tylenol doses she's hyper, but when the fever's high just lays there whining, poor baby. We haven't gotten as high as And, highest so far 102.1 this morning- hopefully this stuff hurries up and goes away. I knew we shouldn't have gone visiting on mother's day, dh and Gracie are like hermits most the time and every time we go visiting people with other kids...wham..every single cotton picking time (course everyone was telling Gracie give sugar's to her cousin with the runny nose...sighh, I didn't want to be the bad guy, but guess I should have).
