OMG this took forever....... I am 6hrs ahead of EST... i am on my computer on and off from morning til i go to sleep .. thats why i'm always here

What state do you live in?: I live in Tuscany (Lucca to be exact) but originally from NYC

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?.. not sure. Maybe on a island somewhere..

How did you meet DH?: Met him in 1998 . he was/is my ex boyfriend’s best friend

What did you do on your first/favorite date? We were friends and roommates first so there really wasn’t a first date…

Where did you honeymoon?: no honeymoon

How long in total have you been together? 3 ½ years

What is your favorite childhood memory?: my childhood was AWESOME.. every birthday my cake would be a cookie puss from carvel… I loved it… my sister used to be pissed bc her bday is in March and she would always get stuck with the green Cookie O’Puss for st patricks day hahahaha SUCKAAAAA… A few years ago I special ordered a cookie puss for my birthday and it was sooo GHETTO… there wasn’t the cool red coconut hair, and the fudge was cheap… definitely lost his charm… but that’s what I remember most ,, oh also, in grammar school we were allowed to bring in dunkin donut munchkins for the class on your bday and wear this special corsage with candy on it.. I used to always get one with watermelon jolly ranchers on it.. LOVED IT.

What traditions from your childhood will you continue with your own children?: Christmas for sure.

What is your favorite part of being a mom?: so far its all pretty cool..

Do you plan on more kids? Not likely.. though I would love another little boy

Do you have pets? What kind? Names?: yes.. Olivia is a hairless Chinese crested dog and she is an awesome big sister

What music do you like best?: I’m more of a tv person than music… apparently I have bad taste in music, or at least that’s what I’m told.. I have a secret passion for boy bands and Neil Diamond…. I also like a lot of equally inacceptable Italian music, but none of you would know them so I wont bore you…… I’ve actually seen both New Kids on the Block and NSYNC in concert 3 times each and Neil Diamond was the first concert I ever attended hahah

Favorite book?: I like trashy romance novels

Television show you just have to watch?: I LOVE tv….. Scrubs, South Park and Gilmore Girls are currently my favs……. In the past I have been known to be a HUGE Big Brother fan,.. I buy the live feeds and everything… I’m not following this season purposely bc I tend to get obsessed and its hard enough getting everything done as it is.. I def don’t need to be up all night watching b*tch fights on BB….

Favorite chick flick of all time?: my fav movie of all time is Grease 2… not the original, the original sucks.. I like 2 with michelle Pfeiffer and Michael the cool rider.. he was my first crush and I still think he’s hot

Favorite flower?: hmm, not big on flowers,.. I love the smell of when the lemon trees blossom.

Something we'd never guess about you: I get really embarrassed talking about sex.. im sort of a prude with that kind of stuff

Why did you choose the SK name you did?: bc the first baby I ever held in my life was Giacomo…. I really need to change my name

What's your favorite age in your children's development? Why? No clue… 6 months is much harder than the prev 5, so I guess its just gonna get harder, but more entertaining

Are you a working mom or a SHAM? If you are a working mom what do you do? If you are a SHAM what is your favorite part about staying home with the kids? I work, but from a home office. I represent my company in Europe, Africa and Mid East….handle our clients in this part of the world.. sales job. .. my fav part of staying home is that I get to see him all day, even if I am working, I can always break to feed him, or take him to the park (when the weather is better) or run to doctors appts with him…

How old where you when you had your first child? 31

Describe a typical day in your life. … pretty standard.. up around 7:30, log into SK and check work emails.. hang out with G, work, hang out with G, work… watch Gilmore Girls, work a bit more, play with G, cook dinner, laundry, feed everyone, baths, bed….

What is the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten? Ill try anything once.. not by choice.. I have this thing where I think its bad manners not to eat something someone offers me… so I’ve eaten some funky stuff

What jobs/careers have you had? I worked for about 10 years in the travel industry, and was also a bartender for a long time.

What were your favorite cartoons/shows on Saturday morning as a kid? Oh when I was little I used to watch all of the shows.. not sure if they were on Saturdays but I loved zoobalie zoo (sp?) the great space coaster, and the standards tom and jerry, smurfs, strawberry shortcake etc.. oh I like Gem too.. but who didn’t??

Favorite outdoor activity? Drinking at outdoor bars in the summer… back in my smoking days it was awesome to be able to drink and smoke in peace.

What is something you want to do before you kick the bucket? (Like sky dive or see grandchildren... ) I have sky dived before.. I did it just to say that “I did it” NEVER AGAIN… I do plenty of things just to cross it off of the lifetime To Do list that I actually have written down… I have been able to cross a bunch of things off… learning to play the violin is still on there, and I’ve never ridden a horse.. I’d like to do that some day.. oh and I need to visit south Africa before I die

What is the worst experience you've ever had? I’ve had a pretty good life.. the worst thing I can remember in recent years is getting stranded in Moscow and having to sleep in the airport and bribe people to help me get a visa to leave the country hahahaha.. I cried like a little baby ..

If you could have a day off from parenting, what would you do? I can have a day off.. its called a baby sitter, now if I could have a month off, then I’d start making some plans.

What are your pet peeves? I have LOTS of pet peeves (surprise surprise). Today I have been annoyed by someone who used the word “guesstimate” like 100 times in a 5 min conversation… whats the difference bet estimate and guesstimate???

What was your wedding like? Tuesday morning, me , DH, my best friend and my BIL.. that’s it… it was in city hall in Milan, quick, didn’t wear white. It was actually a nightmare.. I wanted to wear jeans but DH wouldn’t let me bc that sissy wanted to get dressed up.. so I bought a dress and the day of the wedding DH couldn’t remember where he put my stockings…. I am VERY particular with the nude stockings I wear..I will only wear donna Karen nude color B02… they are the only ones that IMO don’t look like you have prosthetic (sp?) legs.. well I couldn’t find them and had to get married with fake legs… then the crazy hippy judge that married us took 20 minutes to explain that she has daughter who lives in NY and do I know her… while we are exchanging rings!!! And then DH basically made it seem like we were getting married for a green card… it was a crazy, non romantic afternoon.. and then the 4 of us went out and got drunk.. actually it was pretty cool. I’m not really romantic

What is one thing you say a lot? Favorite phrase? I say “not for nothing, but” a lot… I thought it was universal, but I now think that only people in my part of NY say it bc ive been made fun of it in the past

What kind of car do you drive? I bought a mom car last year. Well it’s a mom car to me... it’s a Toyota auris.. not sure if it exists in the US, it’s the yaris’ big sister… we also have our cute little smart which is now DH’s car, and I still have my awesome Vespa 150 in my mom’s garage in NY.. I cant bear to sell it, its baby blue and I love it

Your best friend tells you she is pregnant. What is your reaction? Would never happen.. cant even imagine, theres a better chance that my 60yr old mother tells me she’s pregnant.. and my reaction to that would be “ewwww”

What do you do for a living? what about your DH? I work in sales , DH is a computer geek.. he develps software or something like that

Are you going to live in the US again one day? DH says that one day he'd like to live there.. Giacomo must live there for 4 years in order to pass on the American Citizenship to his kids so hopefully he'll atleast live there for college.
I'm thinking of buying a place in the US so we can spend longer periods of time in the US atleast until Giacomo starts school.

If you had a girl what would you have named her? Luisa, Amalia and Lorelei were on my short list for a girl. the other options for boys were Gianluca, Giordano, Mattia.

What made you decide to go to college overseas?

What made you decide to go to college overseas? well, I was on scholorship at Pace University in NYC and was commuting from home. After a year I felt like i was missing out on the college experience so I decided to do a study abroad for 1 semester, at least to get the dorm experience etc... I picked London bc it seemed the easiest place to go and when I got there i realized I was never going back... I abandoned my scholorship, became a degree student and finished up my last 3 years in London... Those were 3 of the best years of my life.. I partied like a rock star.. actually my 20s were awesome.

What do you miss most of the States? I miss a lot. mostly food stuff and shopping.. I miss NY bc it seriously is the city that never sleeps... here i live in the city that loves to nap..... do they still sell WOW doritos?? if they do thats what I miss the most.

Do you paint your toenails? If so, what color? i only use one color nail polish... French pink without the french.... i dont like long nails(fingers), but i have really small nail beds so neutral color is best.... but i never get the white tips done, just use the french base color

Any tattoos? If so, of what? If not, why not and would you ever and what would it be? OMG i do have a tattoo and I hate it.. that should be #1 on my supreme regrets... more than the nicole richie bangs... its on my ankle and its one of those stupid bands. My dad took me to get it when I was 17.... i thought i was hard core... yeah, i was the most hard core girl at my private Catholic high school hahaha.. what a fool.

OMG I'm crackin up you're a riot! First off LOVE Grease 2 - I don't know anyone else who's ever said that before. We're the same age btw so I saw a lot of similarities. My sis and I watched that incessantly. Also, OMG "Gem...truly outrageous...truly, truly, truly outrageous".LOL My prized possession for a while was my Gem doll with blinking earrings.

Oh and I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's pet peeve is people who say "guesstimate"...also a big one when people say "orien-tate-ed"...thats not a real word. Where I live some people like to pluralize the word you by adding an "s" so the waiter will say "how many of yous are there?" ugh

Sorry, this isn't about me...haha

Also LOL about the Nicole Ritchie bangs..my sis got those too...not sure I'm a fan I have to say.
