But I dont know for sure so I will welcome you like I would anyone else So thank you for the info and thanks for not being rude like the "others"!
Well I can't speak for the other poster that just registered but I understand the reasoning for being skeptical. I found the thread everyone is referring to and read it. I will admit that there was some stuff that was concerning but I won't comment or pass judgement on anyone. Just please know I am not here to start trouble but to help not only in car seats but in other areas I might be able to help in.

If anyone has any questions regarding car seats please feel free to ask. I will do my best to answer any questions you have.

Have a great day!

Randi- So sweet about Shaun getting to see his daddy! The web cam came in handy for us too, my DH loved to see Adrien on it!

ok, so here's my theory - google is a powerful tool.

jen_nah, you are really not thepeach80, however i truly believe that you know her and post with her and mommy2env on car-seat.org - where i wholeheartly believe that all 3 of you use their private technician only board, and that is where you found out about this thread......... this one thread out there among millions of other carseat posts.

i feel that you are honest about who you are (that you are from texas, and do have 2 daughters born in august (just not 07) - all as you have stated). i even think i could like you and if i needed an answer to a carseat question in the future, i may just message you.

however, i do not think you are honest in how you came about finding our board.

yep, unfortunately, he can't use them on ship, but he made port today for a whole month, so either i'll get to talk to him more, or not at all for 4 weeks...hoping for the first
and shaun was so excited...lunged at the computer with a big grin saying daddy...unfortuately, i forgot to reinstall ours when the computer crashed...oh well, next time...

Melissa,

I do know thepeach & mommy2env and I never said I didn't know who they were. I do post on car-seat.org as it is the largest CPS related board on the internet. It is one of many ways I stay up to date with the fast changing CPS world.

I didn't use google but SK search feature to find this post. I have known about SK for 6-7mths from a parent in one of my child birthing classes. She is the one that directed to me to a post on her expecting board. That is how I came to find out about SK. I lurk all over. I don't post on every board because I just don't have the time to do so.

As for our private tech board on there is only allowed to be used for tech resources & information. The admin/owner would throw a fit and delete the post if it was not within the TOS for that board. As that board is open to thousands of tech across the world.

I have been honest and truthful to everyone. I don't plan to stir the pot or cause trouble. Heck if you have a question on other things regarding childbirth, postpartum, injury prevention (not just carseat but other preventable/accidental injuries), breastfeeding, CPR, preparing sibs for new baby, pregnancy/infant loss I am glad to answer any of those too.

Seriously? I'm sorry I'm a little sleep deprived at the moment and feeling a little snippy but if you honeslty don't have the time to post on all the boards, what makes you have the time to reply to all of this drama? Why did you just happen to pick our board to share your vast wealth of knowledge?

I don't mean to be crude here but honestly. You don't need to reply to my post, I just wanted to state for the record. Someone once said (and I think it may have been you) that we have the last say here. That's right, we do, this is a board, for mothers of children born in August of 2007 to discuss issues and support each other. We welcome lurkers who may have something interesting or informative to share about a particular post or two.

I, for one, am not very welcoming of someone who just happens to see one particular post - one that really wasn't even a question about a carseat to begin with, and decides to just post to this ONE thread. There are plenty of other carseat threads on this board, why aren't you sharing your knowledge with them?

Oh, that's right, you don't have the time!

Geesh!

Rachel,

I am sorry you feel like you have to be snippy to me. I am sorry you don't want my help here esp from someone that is trained but has been nothing but respectful to your members. I saw a post that I felt like I could answer because back on page 1 they did ask how there could be a 95% misuse rate and I answered that.

Your right I don't respond to every carseat post or every post for that matter if the answer has already been given and in some cases multiple times. They don't need me to restate the samething yet again. That would be beating a dead horse.

Thanks,
Jenny

that's good to know.

maybe i'm a conspiracy therorist - yeah, not really. i'm just completely in awe of the coincidental timing of things here.

and it seems that carseats are the only concern any lurkers have as far as the decision our moms make. blows my mind. i mean if safety of children really is your passion (your not being you specifically/only - but the carseat gurus as a whole) then why don't you (again, not YOU in that sense) concern yourself with all aspects?

i mean, have you seen the "gate" we use???? yeah.

some of our moms vaccinate their kids.

some babies have already had fish, soda, and PEANUT BUTTER! gasp.

i just don't understand why our carseat posts always gain so much attention without some kind of "advertising"

Melissa,

I have responded to the gate topic. I had actually started a post after my last post to this topic but got sidetracked with my kids. So, I just came back and finished & replied to it. I like your dh creativeness and thinking out of the box. I personally would cover the gate with batting & fabric just b/c it has sharp edges/corners just incase someone bonks their head on it.

You want see my get involved in vaccine posts as that is 100% a parental & dr choice. I am pro vaccines but that is what works for my family. Plus vaccines are not injuring/killing children so I don't have a lot of expertise in that department. That's the same with food choices again something the parent needs to discuse with their ped. While I didn't do pb until 2yrs of age but is b/c dh family has nut allergies.

Jenny

Actually vaccines can and do injure/kill children.

And you ARE beating a dead horse by still responding to this thread. We all have better things to do, myself included.

If someone has a question for you, they will get in contact with you, ok? Thanks.

I dont know about anyone else, but the arguing and being rude back and forth is getting old. It is incredibly bad timing that Jenny decided to post on our board in a car seat thread, but she seems nice and educated in all aspects of safety for our children. I dont think she has had one rude reply to anyone which is nice for a change. Can we just drop this and let this thread rest in peace in the land of old threads please?? I actually think we are ALL beating a dead horse to be honest

Rachal~ I just happened to post this after your posts so dont take it personal

i agree.

jenny, i have questioned you a lot, and you have taken it all in stride. i appreciate your tact, and responsiveness. i hope you weren't put off by my questions....blame it oh my philosophy professor who is continuously drilling "take nothing at face value" and "question everything" into my head. i welcome your input.
