Baby food storage ??
After two kids I can't believe I'm asking but I seem to remember nothing...what is the general rule for storing jarred baby food in the fridge once its been opened. I make a lot of Claire's food but I also buy jarred for some stuff. I usually use them up within a couple days b/c we're still introducing some but now we're having different stuff everyday. I have 3days in my head for some reason just wondering what everyone else is doing.

Re: Baby food storage ??
Yup, on the jars it says refrigerate after opening, use within 2-3 days.

Re: Baby food storage ??
I follow those instructions but I think it's quite odd that a big jar of apple sauce will last weeks in the fridge with no probs, does anyone else?

Re: Baby food storage ??
Thanks...LOL I looked at the new jars I bought the other day and sure enough it said that..lol I felt dumb but the other brand I had bought said nothing. Some also say to heat in the jar, some say definitely do NOT heat in the jar...you'd think there'd be some sort of consistency.
As for real applesauce I don't know...I usually don't let anything go a couple of weeks opened but I'm picky.

Re: Baby food storage ??
2-3 days sounds about right.
Carleigh, that's a good point! Hmmm.
