Alyssa's 9 mo appt.

Well, we had her 9 mo appt on Friday. It went very well. She did such a great job with her 1 shot. She had her final Polio vacc. She cried for about 5 seconds and then as soon as doctor put her bandaid on she was like "oh what is this". I'm so proud.

She is 18 lbs 15 oz. And 29 1/4" long. Her head is 18" also. That is 45-50% for weight and 90-95 for length. The doc said she would be a little concerned with her weight if she didn't grow in length so much. At her 6 month appt she was 70% for both wt & ht.

I asked her about her marble pellet poops and she said she sounds a little constipated and to try working in prunes and see how that helps. Try to play around with the prunes and see what works, ie. a tablespoon a day or a whole container a day, etc. Amazingly, ever since her visit, she hasn't had any marble poops, they have all been pretty mushy, so I'm going to hold off on the prunes for now and see what happens.

She said I can move her to stage 2 food and try to start incorporating more table food, cheeses & yogurts, different consistancies. By the way, which yogurts do you all give your little ones?

Alyssa has been clapping lately, where she is actually making noise while doing it and it's just the cutest thing to hear and see. She is also 'dancing' everytime she hears music and she can give us "five" when we ask her to. She has been all over the place too. Crawling and pulling herself up on everything. She even made it up a set of 3 stairs we have too (supervised, of course). It's so fun, all these new things she is doing.

Well, I've gushed long enough. Just wanted to share the news with you ladies.

Eric doesn't weigh too much either for his length...just long and skinny...as long as they eat I think it's fine. It is worrying but he's the same as I was as a baby.
It's so cute to see them clap..I just have to say yeah and Eric claps.
Good job with the needle, as they get older I think it gets harder!

WTGrow baby girl!!! I'm still working on pat a cake with the girls. It's so funny cause when I say it, they aren't sure whether to wave bye bye, pat a cake or play peek a boo and the try doing a combo of all 3. It's hilarious...lol

Sounds like she is growing well and getting long too!! My pedi worries more about their head growth then he does weight and length. I mean if there was a big drop or none at all, then he would worry about that. But his main concern is that there is head growth due to brain growth and developemental growth.

So glad she is doing well!!!

Sounds like a great appointment. Glad she got over the shot quickly.

She may have been having mushy poops because of the shot. I notice that when Max gets a vaccination, it causes his poop to be a little mushy.

We have been using prune juice with Max periodically. I use about 2 oz. full strength (in an 8 oz bottle of formula) every 5 days or so if I notice that he's having a hard time pooping.

So glad that Alyssa's appointment went well. When Aliya had her last vaccine she didn't even cry, I was shocked, but I think it was because she now has tootsie roll legs and couldn't feel a thing, LOL

Aliya eats the organic yogurt, called Yo Baby, I think......she only gets the Vanilla and Banana, they also have Blue Berry and something else.

Aliya is clapping, as well, she loves to play patty cake. Isn't the crawling stage so much fun or not, it only makes you say No No a million times a day, Aliya is into everything and driving me nuts, she has now started to pull the leaves off my plant, getting into my cabinets and trying to climb on the dishwasher when I am trying to load it. Don't know what I am going to do when she is able to walk and will move alot faster.
