One Year Molars Anyone?
Georgia is getting a molar (or multiple, she won't let me see) and it is unbearable!! She is miserable, cranky, can't sleep, and is drooling buckets!!!
I was in tears with her last night. Poor baby girl was in so much pain!
This is WAY worse than any other teething she has gone through. Nothing seems to give her relief. Motrin, Tylenol, Teething Tablets, Oragel, etc...nothing helps.
Anyone else going (or gone) through this yet?

Re: One Year Molars Anyone?
I think Phoebe is trying to get hers as well as one of her front teeth. She won't let me in her mouth to see the back ones. I just notice that she is chewing on things with her back gums.

Re: One Year Molars Anyone?
I am blaming that on Clayton's crappy mood lately. Low grade fever, doesn't eat well, sleep well, or stay happy for more than 5 min at a time. I pray they pop thru soon so this is over with soon.

Yep. We have been working on them since the begining of June. One is finally through. The molars are hard, I feel so bad for him. He is major drool bucket all the time and some days barely wants to eat or drink anything.

Re: One Year Molars Anyone?
Yes, yes and yes. You are not alone. I would say for almost 3 weeks now Dean has pretty much refused to eat solids, he chews endlessly on his fingers in the back of his mouth, the doc at 1 yr. appt. said she thought they were coming in, he wakes up every night 3-4 times and I have to tend to him and he goes back to sleep if I give him a bottle with water in it. He carries his blanket around everywhere and just folds himself over on the floor whining, kicking feet for no reason, over tired, low fever and now dirreah for 1 week straight. I can't see back there though so I have no idea but nothing else explains this. I have tried to have him around people, family, at the park, play here, play there..he has little interest.
Honestly, he has had Infant Tylenol or Ibuprofen every day now, once in morning and also at night for 2 weeks. I thought it was too much to give him but I don't know what else to do. He cries for extended periods at daycare they tell me which BREAKS MY HEART! I have night time Oragel and it doesn't do crap. He hates it and knows when I am getting near with it. I have the Hylands tablets which I can't tell if they work or not but I mix 5 or 6 in about 1/4 cup water and give him in a bottle before bed. It says to put under his tongue but no way will he let me or it says to make a paste and put on gums but no way. They dissolve in water. I also have another brand of homopathic teeting drop stuff and who knows.
I'll tell you though. Tonight I was beat down and frustrated for him and I can't fix it but also just wondering when he will return to normal and will he ever again? What if he is always like this...Anyways, my tears are with yours and fingers crossed for all this teething crap to be over soon for our little one's. One + of the whole thing...he said "mama" for the first time last week. Now, he says it all day when I am around him, when I leave him and I sense he knows and it is soothing but still pains me when he whines and cries "mama"

ohhh yes, we are working on 2! This kid is such an early bloomer. Just keep giving her all the love and motrin she can handle. The orajel nitetime works wonders for us! Good Luck mommy

Re: One Year Molars Anyone?
i dont think so but then again he wont let me in there. He is working on cutting his top 2 canines though! At his one year the pedi said they should pop wihin a month. His gums are white as white can be where they are.
I have heard the molars are THE WORST teeth for them to get in. I feel for you. I say give him tylenol like clock work for a few days and see if it helps.
