I have heard Monistat...but I would consult the pedi before using that just in case.

I would definately stop with the A&D. All it does is keep the area moist. The best thig you can do is give open air time. Make sure the kskin is dry before you put a diaper on it again. I would talk to the doc about a cream. We used nystatin which is a prescription mixed with a little aquaphor. Works liek a charm.

I would call the doc.

My ped has always said to use Lotriman AF (anti fungal) and that the generic brand was just as good. Good luck clearing it up!

My DD had this one time after taking two rounds of antibiotics. The Dr. gave us nystatin and it cleared up within a few days max. I agree...I would definitely call your doc.

Teagan had a yeast rash when she was 3 months old. It took 2 tubes of monistat (walmart brand) to get rid of it. I brought her to the ped. AFTER I started the monistat and he said to keep going with it. Once it started working, it cleared quickly and we haven't had a repeat yet!

Good luck.

MY 3 yo dd had a nasty yeast infection a few months ago, after 2 rounds of antibiodics, our ped said to put Monistat on her privates. Hers was up in her crack too, so we just lubed the entire area with the Monistat cream, and she cleared up in like 3 days. It was pretty gross for awhile there, tho.
GL getting rid of it!!! Poor baby!!!!
