Icon5 Sleeps

I've been wondering this for a while and was going to post it today, Shellby's post reminded me about.

How are you little one's sleeping these days? What time are their naps and bedtimes?
Anyone still getting up in the middle of the night?

Zander wakes up around 8 and still takes his morning nap about 2hrs after he wakes up. Which normally last 2-3hrs. I always hold off on leaving the house if possible until after his first nap. His second nap I will try and stretch out a little longer, about 3hrs or so depending on Zander. This one ranges 1hr to 2hrs. Bed time is 9. I'm hoping to start getting bed time alittle earlier though. Just hoping wake up time doesn't come earlier too.

keke wakes about 7, but still wakes randomly throughout the night, but only once for a bottle sometimes, most times he just whines, readjusts then goes back to sleep

naps at 1030-11-ish for about 2 hours
naps again about 4-ish for about 1.5hrs
bedtime is at 8-830-ish

Lila is up around 7:30-8 and goes down for her first nap between 10-10:30. That one lasts anywhere from 2-3 hours. Her second nap is around 3 and usually lasts for an hour and a half. Bedtime is 7.

Maya has to be up by 6:30am for me to take her to daycare and me to go to work. On days I dont go into the office, I will let her sleep until she wakes up on her own, but thats usually around 630am also. Some mornings she wakes up at 545am, but then she acts cranky.
I have no idea when her naps are at daycare since they have no schedule and cannot remember to write it down for me...but at home she naps about 9am for an hour and again around 1-2pm for another hour-1.5 hours. Her bedtime is 7pm.
She no longer wakes during the night at all, as long as she's not sick or something odd.

Isabel is down to one nap a day. She usually naps for around 2.5 hours at 12pm. She goes down around 6:30pm and is up for a feed around 5am...if we are lucky she will sleep again until 7ish. Some nights she wakes every few hours and needs her dummy/cuddles but she is much better now she is only having one nap!

Kasen goes to bed for the night at 9 with my older son. I found that they go down really nice at the same time. Otherwise, Kasen will wake up when Jackson goes in later. Then he sleeps until 7:30 or 8:30 (some weekend days he sleeps til 11!!!)
As for naps, he ideally goes down around 10:30 for 2 hours and 3:30 for 1 1/2 hours.
If we can only get one nap in, it is for around 2 /12 hours at noonish. Though he is a grump with the one nap.

Also, he lets you know when he is tired, he walks around holding his blankie and sucking his thumb. If you don't put him to sleep he gets mad and starts rolling on the floor with his blankie and thumb.
He is a non-cuddler, lay him down and leave him alone. That is how he likes it.

Ronan's sleep pattern is messed up now that he has ANOTHER ear infection. He was waking up at night in pani and we were cuddling him and bringing him to our bed to comfort him. We are now trying to get back since he has been on antibiotics for 2 days. He naps about 2 or 3 hours after he wakes up in the morning for about 1 1/2 hours. He takes an afternoon nap around 3 for about an hour or so. He goes to bed at 8:30 and usually gets up around 7 or so.

Grace goes to bed at 7 and wakes at 7 (although sometimes the bigger kids are noisy and wake her up earlier). Her naps are all over the place because of the other kids schedules. Most days she goes down around 10/10.30 and will nap for 2-3hrs....depending on what time she wakes and how cranky she is I might put her back down for a nap around 3pm for about 1hr.

Getting to sleep was rough for a few weeks and she was waking randomly in the middle of the night so I don't know what her deal is but we are back on track. She goes to bed 7/730 and wakes around 630. She will either do one big nap around 12 (2 hours) or she will do two 1 hour naps in am and afternoon. We used the Ferber method two weeks ago and she goes to bed without a peep (after two nights!!!)

We still do the Ferber Method too when Maya is having sleep issues, and we love it. It makes CIO a little more tolerable, for us anyway.
We first used it when she was 4-5 mos old and it only took 2 nights also.

No sleeping through the night for us. We did, however, move her to her own bed. She sleeps in a twin bunk bed (lower bed under her sister) and I made a mesh screen to keep her from falling out as well as a bed rail. I'll start the night with her, but move to my own bed until she wakes up and then I stay with her till morning. Right now, she's really good at going to bed. I'll just say "do you wanna go night night" and she runs to the stairs and starts climbing them. She then heads to the bed. I put her in it, she lays down and waits for me to nurse her to sleep. She'll sleep for a few hours and wakes to nurse again. She still wakes once or twice a night.

Gavin is typically a great sleeper at night. Although the last two nights he has waken up at midnight. I think it's another growth spurt or his molars coming in. He usually goes to bed around 8:00 pm and is awake by 6:30 am. He takes 1-2 naps a day. The times of the naps varies.

Lincoln still wakes through the night a few times but goes back to sleep very easily. He takes a 2 hour nap in the am and a 1 hour nap in the afternoon. If his schedule gets messed up due to my DD's activities, he will take one big nap at around noon for about 3 hours.

Ugh, this post reminds me that we have work to do.

Maddie was up 3 times last night - I think she has molars coming in, so it was a little a-typical, but I just brought her to bed with me to let her nurse. I was up a lot last night, kind of like when she as a newborn. I think we need to bite the bullet and do some type of CIO sleep training. I'm over this.

thanks for that - that is reassuring. I have heard that before from others as well.
We started to do this a while back, and it went allright (I had to have DH deal with her cause I just couldn't take it) - but then we had houseguests and she was back in our room, then we traveled & so she was off from that, etc. So now we just need to make the commitment to do it & get it over with.

I need some earplugs.

Ronan is all over the place with sleep lately too, but it is hard for him with the other kids. We were at a swim meet until 10PM last night. We just do the best we can. He seems as though he is moving to one longer nap around lunchtime or so. We have had to let him CIO a few times over the past year. I can't stand it, but something has to be done! The Ferber method makes it a little more tolerable.

does anyone have any links to info about the ferber method online - or is it in a book or something? I'll research it online today too.
