Default o/t weight motivation

Tomorrow night is my first WW weigh-in, i'm nervous i've stayed in my points even over mothers day and party and all i've been working out (unfortunately i havent measured myself but clothes dont feel different to me yet) but according to my scale this morning i havent lost ANYTHING else since i lost the initial 2lbs the first 2 nights.

I need encouragement that other people are having victories and stuff.. it just sucks that it can take at LEAST a month before you see real results.. i'm just discouraged tonight because i didnt make it to the gym like i wanted to before church and before it got to late to go alone.

So cmon ladies tell me your victories even if its just drinking more water or something...also whats the sparkspeople private board? if there is one so i can stop annoying everyone on this board about it haha

aw, I wish I could help, but as you know I had absolutely no luck with weight loss and now cannot try.
I hear, though, that drinking ice water during workouts burns extra calories.
And if you are working out, you may be building lean muscle in place of fat lost and that's why you haven't lost poundage yet.
Stick with it, you can do it! Plateaus are hard, I know, its my biggest downfall. But learn from my mistakes, don't give up! You have done so well already.
Maybe someone at the weigh in can give you some suggestions.

dont feel bad jen, im on week three of ww and have stayed the same. i use sparkpeople too and i just cant seem to loose here. im counting everything, saying in my points and drinking more water. the weight just loves me or something and wants to stay. i just keep telling myself, everyone is different and i will eventually lose, mines just harder more stubborn fat. plus ive been on steriods which is very hard to lose. so hang in there girl, keep trying, it will happen.

It'll happen for you! My goal for myself this week was 10 activity points, and I've done 12 so far, and the week isn't over yet! Just set small goals, and you'll do great!

jenn ... chin up, girl. it's TOUGH to lose weight. if it were easy to lose weight, we'd all be a size 6. there are lots of ways a body sees results when you start to change your eating and activity. you may be losing body fat even if you're not seeing a loss on the scale. take your measurements. dropping inches could be happening too. water DOES make a big difference. drink, drink, drink.

there was a thread on the sp june moms board that included some tips and tricks for success. here's a link: link to some other "tips and tricks"

i will start a private spark board for us june moms. the june board already is existence isn't that active. *yawn* support is CRAZY important. i think it's a key component to motivation. watch for an invite from me. i'll get on it right after i finish my webkinz majong game.....

hang in there, jenn. who cares what the scale says. you're eating better and you're working out. that HAS to be doing good things for your body. be proud of yourself.

Between today and tommorrow just chug the water I always between the day before and the of my weigh in drink lots of water and see the scale drop from it. You are doing great my scale always shows I weigh more then the one at WW so maybe that is it also. If I can do this you can, I used to weigh 243 pounds lost 98 got pregnant gained back 69 I have lost 41 of that so I still have a way to go but I swear if I can do this you can do this it totally works.

You stuck to your points all week even on monther's day and the party.
That alone is a HUGE accomplishment and a fantastic beginning to what will be a lifestyle change, not a "diet". So you're doing GREAT irrelevant of what the number on the scale shows.

that's really great, Jen
even if the scale doesn't show it yet; it is the lifestyle changes that are hardest, so you're doing the hardest part, first!

I agree with everyone above. I think you are doing great job.
What has helped for me is drinking lot's of water and tracking my calories. I've also been going to bed earlier. Let us know how the weigh-in went.
HUGS
