Good for him. . . sucks for me
ok so as i am sure ALL of you know I do photography Anyways my brother has a band they are a really awesome band, he asked me to come along and take pics of his band. Anyways I did it for him for a couple reasons ONE he is my brother and TWO with the understanding that I would get recognition for pictures I take. Anyways, he just recently got recognized in a magazine. I am really proud of my brother and really happy that he is being recognized. BUT they used a picture I took and he didnt even say I took it :o :'( That could have been some wonderful exposure for me. It has been bothering me for a few days so I emailed him this
Hey Rich I saw your thing in the magazine. That is cool that you got put in it. Although, I am kind of hurt that you used my picture and didn't give me credit for taking the one pic. If you wouldn't mind can you please put caption/by line on the photos I took saying that I took them both from now on and in your website. I too am trying to build up a business and did this to help us both out anyways this would be much appreciated
love ya,
jen
this was his response
oh yeah, the magazine used that pic off our myspace i didn't even know they were going to use it, it really not anything to get offended about.
THATS IT!!!!anyways i am kind of bummed I was looking at his myspace and he doesn't have ANTYHING about my photography he has banners hanging up for tons of places but none for mine. HE doesnt have ANY kind of recognition on his site that I took his pics and I'm not even in his top friends list I'm just really bothered. It's like man I support his band ALL the time "had" his banners every where told everyone to go to his concerts and what not. Its just like MAN that sucks tons of people could have seen that pic and I could have gotten my name out there and now nothing
I mean he could have at least said oh sorry that happened but NOPE just its really not anything to get offended about. That bothers me! I told my mom and she just shook her head and said that isnt right
