Crazy story - this weekend

Oh - crazy story. I had to put this woman in her place on Saturday.

We were at Jackson's first baseball game. He is playing t-ball, and we are letting him play up a year with the 6 year olds. Well, he was running to first base and he tripped and fell, and got back up. They he was running to second and he did the same thing. Later on he told me that his foot was hurting him. He is okay though. So, this other kids mom yells at Jackson as he is at second base , "Jackson, get up right now!" Everyone else was silent. It's not like she yelled at him nicely either. It sounded really angry, like when your kids are about to do something stupid and hurt themselves, so you yell at them kind of yell. So, it got kind of quiet, and I said, "Oh, no. You are not allowed to yell at my son that way, I am his mom and I am the only one who is allowed to yell at him like that." I did it very nicely, but in a way that she got it.

WTH! Who yells at 5-6 year olds at a t-ball game????? Are you frikkin kidding me? It's not the World Series. These people around here are crazy. They are so freakin competitive. I can admit it, I don't like to lose, and my son is super competitive too, but you won't see me yelling at him like an idiot for missing a ball, etc.

Ugh!!

I know--we always avoided a certain set of parents at ball games for my stepson as they were for sure thinking they were NBA parents!!

Good for you for saying something. I would have too. People can be so crazy.

I'm glad you said something. That is so rude! I hate when parents get that competitive at a 5-year old's game! I am VERY competitive, but I would never do that!
