Default Any other late walkers?

Claire will be 15 mos on the 26th and she is not walking. A few weeks ago she would take as many as 5-6 steps on her own, but now she wants nothing to do with it! I'm sure it's normal, but I can't help to worry when I see 8 and 9 month olds walking. She seems to just be very cautious. She crawled late, too, but once she decided to do it she picked it up very fast. I'm pretty sure she is just stubborn like me...lol. I have her 15 mos appt at the end of the month and it would be nice to say she's walking. At her 12 mos appt. the dr. said most babies walk by 14 mos. Any thoughts? Am I taking this too lightly?

Koen just started walking and he is just over 14 months old. He was doing the few steps randomly for about a month. I think it just "clicks" in kids at different times. My co-workers son didn't walk until his 2nd birthday. I'm sure Claire is just fine.

Rachael is not walking....she is cruising and crawling, etc.... She will walk 10 blocks with us holding her hands, but she does not have the confidence to do it on her own yet. I know it is hard to watch others with walkers. Trust me....I worried and worried about Rachael not crawling and she is perfectly fine. We just have to let them do these things on their time - not ours. Claire is doing just fine and you are a wonderful mommy to care so much

DD didn't walk until 13.5mos, but JUST THIS WEEK figured out how to crawl!
They are all different. As long as the muscles in her legs seem strong enough and she's moving around otherwise, I'd say give her time...

Another topic I wanted to post on!! Don't worry Holly!! Jackson will be 15 months old on the 1st of August and still not walking either!! JUST today for the 1st time he took 2 small steps towards DH. I stood him up about a foot or 2 away from DH and said "go to Daddy!!" and he wobbled over his way!! Then I think I got so excited that I scared him and he sat down! I know he'll do it in his own time, but I just hope it's before I start work in 3 weeks! I'm glad to know we're not alone over here though! Claire is probably going to surprise you one day and just take off to you!!

I wouldn't be too worried since she can take steps. Cassie took a few steps then totally quit for a while, too. Now she's everywhere, walking. Physically she can do it now, but maybe she's a bit scared yet so waiting a little longer to do more.

Seema's not walking yet either. She cruises on the furniture sometimes. Mainly just likes to pull up though. She will walk while holding our hands but doesn't want to on her own, not even when holding on to something and pushing it forward. She learned to crawl very late, like 2 months ago. She will still do it sometimes but mainly still likes to scoot b/c she knows she can get around faster that way,

Holly you are so sweet for remembering! I start 2 weeks from this coming Monday! It's so weird b/c one part of me is really excited to get my career started (I wanted to teach at least a year before having another baby so I could get "established" in a school system) and I haven't used my degree since I graduated. But the other part of me is aching to think that I won't be with Jackson every day all day like I have been for the past 14 1/2 months. BUT with that being said.....the home daycare we found is WONDERFUL and we have a total peace about it.....AND a lot of the time he will actually be with DH because he is a police officer and works night shift for now. His shift will change around the middle of Aug. but it will probably go to evening. SO at least he'll get the social interaction at daycare and form new friendships and learn from other kids his age, but he'll also get to be at home with Daddy a lot too!! Of course it doesn't hurt that I am off by 3 every day!! Anyways....that was a long answer! Sorry!! But thanks so much for thinking of me and asking!!! Just pray that I handle it ok! It will be harder on me than it will be on him!!

Oh that is so exciting! He is going to love playing with kids his age. You are going to love getting out of the house and interacting with adults....trust me! You'll have to let us know how it all works out

They're all different! Noah is doing everything months slower than DD did, he didn't start walking well until 13 months. My neighbors daughter is 1 and isn't walking either. Allll babies are different, they will do it when they're good and ready
