Icon5 What are your babies eating now?

Aubrey has just started eating baby food about a month ago. She has been a very picky eater. Are your babies still strictly on baby food or have you started them on other foods now?

Derek is eating everything we eat now. When I make dinner, I put some of what we are having in the food processor. He gave up baby food a while ago. He has started drinking whole milk (which he isn't liking very much) with meals and he drinks water with a splash of apple juice too.

I wish Aubrey would take a bottle. Ive been trying every few days to give it to her but she just throws it. My 2 year old will show her what to do with it and she just doesnt want it.

None of my kids have ever had a bottle! They go directly from the breast to a sippy cup. Have you tried a sippy?

I just started giving her one this week...she doesnt like that either. Hopefully in time she will get used to it. My 2 yo went from breast to sippy at 8 months but Aubery is a very different baby then she was. Aubrey had very bad acid reflux up until 7 months. I guess from me holding her up all the time she is just very needy/spoiled now. She doesnt want me to put her down at all, when i do she screams like crazy. I co sleep with her and she wont go to sleep unless i nurse her. If i get up after she falls asleep she wakes up within 5 min. She wont take a nap unless im laying down with her. She doesnt let anyone other then her daddy or grandma hold her. Even when they hold her she is always looking around for me and if she doesnt see me she starts screaming. I told her Dr about everything and she said i can thank the acid reflux and that most babies whos had acid reflux act the same way as her. I just dont know what to do anymore.

I am so glad Aiden isn't the only one who doesn't really have an interest in baby food anymore. I was worried that I was giving him adult food too quickly. He is eating everything we eat as well except most of it we don't mash up. We don't give him anything that he could choke on but he does well with pretty much everything. He eats more than Josh. He also thinks he needs to eat EVERY TIME someone else has something. I'm hoping I don't have to restrict him. He is running (literally) all over the place and after his brother so he isn't huge. He is up to 24.5 lbs now. He is SOOO heavy to carry around. Myself and the boys just moved back in with my parents a little less than a month ago. (I'll explain in another post sometime...if you know me at all, you prob know why but I will prob. post it on the other private board... I know you guys all have access, if not re-message me) Well, my mom threw out her back the first week. I felt SOOOO bad for her. She's been fine since though thank god and my dad is convinced his muscles are so much bigger. LMAO!!! Aiden will eat some of the gerber graduate foods but he prefers what we are eating usually.

Aubrey sounds very similar to how Josh was. Aiden is COMPLETELY different from Josh but Josh had trouble getting used to a bottle at first and he was very clingy to me. I co-slept with him and swore I wouldn't do it with Aiden and I don't. But like I said... Aiden is a totally different baby than Josh and he actually prefers not to sleep with me. (When he's sick I sometimes bring him into bed with me and he gets mad and I put him back in his crib and he goes right back to sleep) Josh outgrew his clingyness for the most part but he's very much a mommas boy. Nothing wrong with being loved though I would try to push the sippy cup more than the bottle. Esp. if she sees her big sis with one, that might help.
