Icon5 1st Birthday Party?

I was just wondering what you ladies had in mind for your little ones 1st Birthday! It's not far away and is it just me or has this one year gone by fast?

We will have Daytona a party with all our immediate family somewhere around 30 people. More then likley we will have it outside in our back yard because April here in NC is normally very pretty not to hot but not to cold either.
And we will do little gift boxes for the kids. I have been trying to find Daytona's party stuff i want something really girlie!

We are doing Elmo. I HATE the thought of endorsing characters but Ethan adores elmo. So I have to do it. Don't know where yet, but I'm trying to get ideas for stuff together now. I don't want to have to be buying it all at once.

We just have little parties with the 5 of us and sometimes my dad will come. None of our families live close-by. When our kids get older, we do the Chuck-E-Cheese parties and big parties with lots of kids, but for the first one, we are pretty low key. We'll probably get him some balloons, have a cake, sing happy birthday and open some presents. We usually try to take the kids to Red Robin (a restaurant around here) for lunch on their birthdays so they get the big song and clapping.

I think we'll probably just do a BBQ if the weather is warm enough. Family only - us, grandparents aunts and uncles.

Trying to decide what to do with the boys for their first bday. I keep first bdays kinda simple with just the immediate family, but I don't know what I want to do with the twins. Guess this year will be pretty easy with them only being one, but through the years I'm not sure how to tackle double themes or whatever twins usually do? If there are any suggestions I'd appreciate them. This year has just passed by so fast. I love all their achievements, but then again its sad to think of this baby phase starting to turn into the toddler years.
