Re: Hello [[ECHO]] hellooooooo
Hi there, I'm still around! I do hope James is feeling better soon.
We had a lovely Easter, catching up with most of my family and also having friends to stay over on Saturday night. Our children (they have a 4yo girl) and a neighbor's boy had a ball hunting for chocolate eggs in our garden.
Mother's day in Australia isn't celebrated until May, so don't have to worry about it yet. It's a double wammy with not much suprise involved in our household, being that their are two mums, and neither of us end up with breakfast in bed! I hope you all are treated like Queen's for your Mother's Day, all moms deserve some pampering I reckon.
Chrissy if your Mark is like many DHs out there, in my opinion you should do what my sisters and my best friend do, buy your own present and make sure DH pays for it! At least when the kids go to school their teachers will encourage home-made cards and maybe even a little gift on Mother's Day.
Dawn - as long as you really don't "do anything" on Mother's Day teehee - it is meant to be a day of rest for the mothers LOL
Traci - it drives me crazy when my MIL insists on telling Mason that Santa and Easter Bunny have left presents at her house for him (as well as what they leave at our house). We do "do" S & EB at our house, but my DP and I try to keep it simple and low key - a small sack of bits and pieces left by his bed by S, and a few egg-sized chocolate eggs hidden in the garden by the EB to hunt with his friends. We don't talk it up big though, and make sure he knows any gifts given are from the person that really gave them, so he can learn to thank them and appreciate them.
