I know that most people on here take it until they get their BFP. I hope this helps.

I hope it's okay to take till your BFP! Cause I've been on it for 3 cycles! (and please don't get discouraged by that, I have many other issues going on just trying to get myself regulated and healthy for my RE appt in May) If anyone finds out it's one of those you can only take pre O please let me know.

Although I don't think it's harmful, I try to research any herb before I take them.....AND it is derived from a root vegetable so it shouldn't be too bad, right?

Maca Root is actually not an herb, it is a vegetable from the radish family. I did some research on it under herbs and had a hard time finding anything on it until I just started googling Maca Root on its own. It is classified as a Starch Plant.
Here are some pictures of it from the growing fields.

The first website says you can take it throughout a pregnancy because it is a food, not an herb. I don't know enough about it to want to do that. It does seem to be a pretty safe food to eat, but once they put it in powder form and pill form, I am sure they add other things to it.
