New Maca Success Story!!!!!

This cycle dh and I both started taking maca root on day 1. He continued to take it until after I O'd, and then he stopped. I took it up until 10 dpo. But, it looks like maca gave us the little extra help we needed to get PG, because I took 2 tests this afternoon, and got 2 BFP's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited and so glad that I found maca root. If anyone has questions please ask, I feel like it really made a difference for us this cycle.

I have just starting researching maca root a bit - where did you purchase yours?

I just went to my local health food store and purchased it. It was 525 mg. per pill. I am telling everyone I know about it!!!!! I see you are adopting from Russia, where in Russia? I have a nephew that was adopted from Russia.

We adopted our son from Ekaterinburg, Russia in October - he is the joy of our lives! We would love to have a sibling for him and are thinking of TTC again. We tried 2 IVF's and tons of infertility treatments before him - we tend to think think our M/C's were due to a health problem I had that was not diagnosed until after we stopped TTC. So we may be ready to try again.

How much maca did you take per day? And your husband? If you don;t mind me asking...do you usually ovulate on your own? Will maca help you ovulate? I am not ready to try Clomid again...perhaps this summer though.

I took one pill per day beginning on day 1 of my cycle. I did take 2 pills per day from day 10- day 12. Just to help out a little bit. I did ovulate on my own, but, I didn't have a whole lot of cm. With the maca, I did see an increased amount of CM. My husband took 1 pill per day beginning on day 1 of my cycle, and took it through the time I ovulated. I did notice that I just felt better in general when taking the maca. They say that maca has the same affect as clomid. I also drank a lot of water this cycle too.

Yes I'm another success story for Maca. We had to take clomid to conceive both of our children. I do ovulate on my own but its not viable...my body take about 5 days to release the egg, five days of trying and me in agonyh...with clomid I o immediately on schedule no pain...same thing happened with maca. I took 1000mg a day b/c the bottle says there is no harm in taking more. its cheap like $7 a bottle or something, gl!

I'm waiting for my maca order to come in and am excited to try it now that I see how much success it has had on this forum.
