Hi I am new to this board I ussually post on the IUI or TTC cycxes buddies board.

Quite history-We conceive my DD in 05, with an IUI tried for a year on our own with no sugcess. The RE determined we had to go that route because I failed the post-cortial test, (with means my mucus is bad). He said I could either go on estogen pills or do IUI. He said that the estrogen pill could make me stop having periods all together. So I choose the IUI's. I have been reading that primrose oil can help with mucus and make it more friendly and increase hormone levels naturally. Has anyone every tried it? Is it worth tring? Any pointers would be great!!

i took it for 2 months and got pg the second month i think i posted it on the succes thread

we used mineral oil also cause i have a hard time producing mucus. best of luck to you!

i tried epo 1,300mg twice a day and took b6 daily along with a prenatle

Okay ladies I think I am going to give this a shot if you would be kind enough to answer a few questions??...........tai I am assuming you took caplets and not liquid correct? And is there a difference in morning primrose oil or evening primrose oil or just plain primrose oil?? and you say b6 is this also a B vitamin caplet? meiko25 please let me know if u decided to take primrose oil and if u had noticed a difference and by the way you ladies both have very beautiful princesses!

And is there a difference in morning primrose oil or evening primrose oil or just plain primrose oil?? im not really sure i took epo from cd1- i think it was 16 or so? i thought i had o'ed on may 21 so i quite taking it but i didnt actually o untill may 28. i took b6 all cy untill my bfp. once you know you have o'ed quit taking the primrose. it may cause uterine contractions making it hard for the eggie to implant


and you say b6 is this also a B vitamin caplet? yeppers it helps lengthen the luteal phase

Tai thanks for the info and congrats one that beautiful little girl, she look so sweet and I love her outfit!

loayas- I think I am going ot start taking the EPO in a few weeks I just Oed, so I wait for AF and give it a try. My mucus is thick and the RE sayes its hostie to the sperm and that is why we can't get pregnant on out own. I will let you know if it helps.

good luck with the epo! have you tried eating pineapple? its soposed to be good for cm and helping that cervix to open up so the lil swimmers can get in

Tai, accually I did buy EPO not MPO, I don't know why I posted MPO.

Anyway I have not tried the pinapple juice (thanks), I am going to try a month or two ond EPO and then go back to IUI's I so inpatient. I was to make sure she has someone to play wtih.

Verdict on the EPO!

I took it CD 1-5 it gave me awful migranes so I quit taking it, but I ended up Oing around CD-10 whic his off for me I usually O between CD14-17. I also have the EWM for just one day kinda heavy sorry TMI, but usually it for 3-4 days. Maybe it messed things up cuz I didn't take it till I O, I wish I could of but the migranes were to much for me. I am now on CD 14.

Well we wers suppose to do a IUI next month, but we are putting it off cuz we are thinking of moving this summer if we can sell our house. So we are going to try an IUI in September, DD turn 2 in Septemeber so I think the timing will be perfect.

you know whe i was taking the epo i thought i had o'ed but hadnt yet, and a week after i quit taking the epo i o'ed! odd
