Can herbs be taken while on Clomid?

Does anyone know if it is safe to take herbs in combination with clomid? I am specifically looking for something that will help me O.

With clomid, the only thing to take is EPO to help with CM. Please don't do anything that may mess with O. The clomid will take care of O. Especially stay away from Vitex (AKA chasteberry, also in Fertility Blend). It will cancel out the clomid. Making things worse. When on meds, without the help of an herbalist, it's best to completely stay clear of herbs unless you know exactly what it is your doing.

Thanks for the info. I thought that it might be a problem to take them together... glad I asked.
I don't think the clomid is working for me. I Oed the 1st cycle so we kept the dosage at 50mg, but I didn't O the 2nd cycle. I'm not even sure if I want to try incresing the dosage since the side effects are so bad for me.
I'm currently changing my diet... cutting out the caffiene, sweets, and switching to more organic foods, so hopefully that will make a difference. I didn't have any problems getting pregnant with Dori, so I'm not sure what's going on with me this time.
I think if clomid doesn't work for me than I'm gonna try just taking some herbs.

If I may I would like to recommen a book: The Infertility Cure. It's amazing and can really answer a lot of questions. The author is Randine Lewis.

Hi, I usually post on the 40 plus board. I am going on Clomid next cycle (am on CD 5 for this cycle) with, hopefully, IUI. I have been taking FB for almost 3 months. I felt it was helping, but now that I have seen an RE, she is doing an HSG this coming Thursday, then the Clomid next month. Which means, I am not going to take FB this cycle or next. It kind of makes me nervous...what if the FB was doing the trick, and now I am going for Clomid??? I also see an acupuncturist who put me on herb, which I have looked up and none seem to be contraindicated with Clomid, but there are so many of them in the preparation...I can't decide to keep taking them or not! They do not have vitex in them.

I would honestly stay away from the herbs until you get the all clear. Or at least talk to the herbalist. Our systems are so delicate to get in balance and I'd hate to see it blown away because of over treatment (or under treatment). I think your herbalist shoudl probably be well versed in knowing what affects what so may be able to tell for sure whether anything will be detrimental.
