Re: Anovulatory? short LP?
O can change drastically from cycle to cycle. I've O'd as late as CD20 and as early as CD6, though most of the time I O around CD13 or CD14. So, while I know it's disappointing to not have O'd yet, you still may O. One cycle tracking O simply isn't enough to give you an idea as to what your pattern is like. Have you joined fertilityfriend to chart your cycles? It makes it so much easier to track and figure out what's what.
As for your LP. When you O won't affect your LP. Here's how it works: Let's say you have a 12 day LP (AF would start 13DPO). If you O on CD10, then you should expect AF by CD23 (12 day LP). If you O on CD14, you should expect AF on CD27.
Vitex is an herb that helps to regulate cycles and ups progesterone levels. It helps most women ovulate who are having issues with an irregular cycle. BUT...if you don't have issues with your P4 (progesterone) you may not wish to take it because if you wind up producing too much P4, it could keep you from ovulating. This is a rare thing, and I've only seen it happen once in the 3 1/2 years that I've been at this. But you really want to make sure that you are taking what you need, not just what others say worked for them.
