I would love to have a big thread of really neat story starters. Just a sentence to about a paragraph that ends suddenly. This would be fun to get our creative juices flowing and give out children some really fun stories to write or tell. I want to try it with my little munchkins.

Here's a few:

Amber raced through the yard and around the front of the house to discover what the loud slamming sound was that she heard. When she came around the corner she skidded to a stop. She couldn't believe what she saw...

April saw her little brother Blake making piles in the dirt so that his cars could have "mountains" to go around. He had mother's trowel from her garden and was making a pretty deep hole when April saw him get a funny look on his face. She made way closer to her brother, and then she saw it too!

Ryan snuck slowly between the bushes toward the "haunted" old house. He wanted to see for himself what all the recent talk was about. He had made sure that it was after midnight and the moon was full before he had come. Ryan considered himself to be a brave person, but what he saw made his blood run cold.

Sarah's parents had just bought a house out in the middle of no-where from a little old lady that had lived in it for about 50 years. Now she was out exploring the land around the new property when she saw the cave. She slowly made her way into the cave letting her eyes adjust to the increasing darkness when she saw an old key halfway in a crack in the side of the cave. I wonder where this came from...
