This month we started our thematic unit on Dinosaurs. We do one on Dinosaurs every summer. Michael really enjoys the crafts and science projects we do.

Michael loves doing a month long unit study on them. This week we talked about Dinosaur fossils. We viewed the BBC documentary 'Walking with the Dinosaurs" and his favorite Dinosaurs are the T-Rex and the Ornithocheirus.

Michael painted it with white tempera paint but it did not stay on well but we figured a way to make that problem a solution for us. We simply pealed away most of the paint to give it a weathered look (more like a fossil) and added sealer to it.

This weekend we'll make fossil bones out of dried chicken bones for our science project.
