My "Experience" working with Avon:
I Sold it for years, I enjoyed it a lot but when I got pregnant they changed and started sending me stuff customers where not interested in AT ALL, which I had to pay for out of pocket FULL PRICE at the same time I was trying to get everything for the baby.
I never had a good "experience" with them after that but I sold to all my family in high amounts and even a bunch of their Friends & Mine and just some random people that seen me.

My Advice/Suggestions:
-I would buy some of the stuff they have in the one booklet for yourself like the pens,booklets,business cards and use them in public it got and still gets people asking for a book from me(I don't sell anymore I just love there pens lol)

-Always carry 2-3 books with you just in case and when you don't have any more make sure to have business cards

- If someone takes you book/card from you get the first name and phone number so you can call them a couple days before the order is due.
(for me it was due Tuesday so I called the Sunday before)

- Some places like stores/doctors offices/dentists/lawyers etc will let you post a card on the board if they have one or even some let you leave a book for anyone that drops by wanting it they could look.
