Icon5 How to Start

I was just introduced to "The Secret" last week. I so believe in this and have really known this for a long time, just didn't know how to change the way I think.

My problem right now is figuring out what I want. I know I want a bigger house, great sex life with DH, children, and to love others more. I'm just having problems starting off.

Any suggestions?

*lurking...
I just got it today for Mother's Day from my mom, who really believes in it.
I have no suggestions, as I know very little abt it! I do wish you well though! I can't wait to see what it's all abt.

My DH and I have been working with the principles over the last few months and are learning very quickly how to make this work. Most the time we are startled by it working, but we're working on that too. We started going to a class offered at our church that is "Implementing the principles of the Secret". I think a few are offering it, you might check the United Centers for Spiritual Living on the web to see a place near you. Anyway....

1) Learning to change the thought process to the positive. example: You do NOT want to get out of debt. You DO want to be "financially free" your money comes easily and effortlessly. In your thought process find the key word or phrase, then look to see if it is positive or if you are saying you don't want it. Look to what you do want and state that in the present.

2) Meditate on that which you want. What you concentrate on expands. Don't get caught up in the "what if", "It might", thoughts like these. Picture yourself already living the life or having the things you want. Get yourself "physically there". My dream is to buy Indian Art. I am an avid collector, but I have not have the funds in the past to "splurge" on my passion. So I am currently working on that feeling of finding an incridible item and walking out of the store with it. What a warm fuzzy!!

3) Release your past and stop living in that rut. Find what is holding you at your "status quo". Is it that your parents never made more money? Is it that you think you'll change if you get all you dreamed of? Do you think people won't like you or feel jealous? Move past these lies and realize that you are worthy of all you dreamed of because it gives you the chance to make the world a better place.

4) Practice gratitude. Be thankful for everything you have and what is coming to you. If you are grateful for where you are, you can move forward to better things. Why would God bring more to where there is no appreciation of the Blessings?

Well that is the class in a nutshell, but I have acheived so much more by finding the class to help me along with it. We have had so many blessings occur during this last three weeks, it has been amazing!!

Have good luck and great BLESSINGS. You might also look to some of the teachers of The Secret. They all have web sites and Bob Proctor has a 7 step class for free on his web site. It is called the Science of Getting Rich.

Inspired.
The secret to 'the secret' is to wholly believe in what you want, ie. ask yourself for it, believe you can attain it, and your actions should surely follow a path that will lead you to attaining what you wish to acquire.

Yes! I agree with everything above said, and you should really start with something truly believable for you, almost like it could be a "coincident" that you thought of it and poof there it is, and then remind yourself that there's no such thing as a coincidence! You are creating your world, and you have been since before you can consciously remember.

You might want to practice being creative, to remember that fact. Try looking into art therapy, or even write a story about how you want your life to be and see how creative you can get! I had fun with that one! I keep it by my bedside and read it often, and I remember more every time how I can help the betterment of all while I live this dream, and that's why I truly deserve it, as do you! Enjoy creating your world!

My daughter was invited to a black & white formal party during Christmas. We had to get her a new dress. I really didn't wnt to spend a lot of money. Inside I'm laughing at that because I never want to spend a lot of money. We walked into our local thrift shop and there it was! A beautiful BCBG dress that was black with a little silver pattern. In a size two! How amazing is that. For the grand total of $15. Things really will come into your life if you are open to it.
