Wedding Ettiquette, the rules of white?
What are the rules of white? I know you arent supposed to wear white b/c of the bride but is ANY white acceptable? we seriously can not find anything springy that isnt half white. I found a very pretty light blue dress, below the knee, tied around the neck (with satin), just below the knee, light and flowy, but it was blue and WHITE. Found the same dress in lavender, again though with WHITE so Dh said absolutely not. Everything either has too much shimmer or is about 1/2 white.
Gonna go crazy and Im running out of time. I need to get my dress so I can get the shoes and not have to stress over this till the last minute.
I told DH Im just going to wear BLACK and he told me NO b/c you cant wear black. I then told him the colors are blush and black, she told me i can. The whole idea of black being one of her colors is b/c its a black tie type event. That was the original plan but the bride decided she wasnt going to make all the male guests rent a tux so now its a teeny bit toned down.
I did find a pretty 3 toned purple dress but it was too umm... club-ish for a classy wedding. I also found the perfect dress, only problem was that it was on the clearance rack and had a line across the front (looks like someone wiped their hand across it after eating cheetos) and I coudlnt think of a way to cover it up. It to the knee and then opposite-V'd down to the middle of the calf. not too shiney, no shimmer (dh has an issue with my shimmer wearing off on him, lol), and would have looked great with my pearls that dh got me 5 yrs ago and Ive NEVER worn.
sorry to ramble. we're going to go shopping in the next week or two and im going crazy that everything Im finding has white in it.
