First of all my brother got engaged in Colorado in the mountians on Saterday I am so happy for Shane and Sara........... I didnt ever think my brother would get married but I guess with me being married and we have all the kids we are going to have its his turn..
He opened up his backpack and said he was looking for water and his sister took picutures of him on the mountian down on one knee.. My mom and I went ring shopping and his soon to be father in law planned a parrty with cousins and Saras Aunt and Uncle that night so it was a good day..

The not so good news. My hubby grandfather passed away last night. My dh is really sad and wished he would have went to see him when he was sick a couple weeks ago. I told him to go to the funeral in Ocala FL and he will feel better. We got the call at 1130 last night please keep his family in your thoughts and prays..

I was thinking of sending a plant down to the fureral but not telling DH I'm doing it.

I am thinking of something cool to do with Shane and Sara that the kids could do too just to have a little something special for them. Thinking of Pizza at our house or going somewhere to eat. What do you ladies think???

I'm sorry for your DH's loss, I think it would be very sweet of you to send a plant. That is exciting news of your brothers engagement, I'm sure you will have fun helping out with the plans!

I am very sorry to hear about your hubby losing his grandfather. It's hard not to feel guilty about not seeing them one last time. I think going to the funeral and sending a plant in his memory is very thoughtful.

Oh, I am so sorry he passed away. I know what you mean about wishing you had gone down there, but it is so difficult due to the distance and the kids. I always get teary eyed when I hear that song "The Cat in the Cradle." So sad, but I think that remembering all the good times spent with grandpa when he was alive and feeling well gives you the most solace. And, having a grandpa alive so long. The second of my grandparents died in 1984, so I have been without them for such a long time. You are lucky that he got to see you get married and have 4 wonderful boys. Not many can say that.

Now, as for your brother, that's great. Are the boys going to be in the wedding? Where is it going to be and when? How exciting. I think of you often, and I hope to call you soon. Every time I get around to it, it is at a time when you are probably busy doing other things.
