Our day at Six Flags (very pic heavy)

We had a blast! We were there for 11 1/2 hours and had a lot of fun. The girls got to go some rides as did DH, the girls had funnel cake for the first time and no one got burnt which was even better.

Emma also had a big first and finally went on a ride without DH and I. We tried last time we were there and she wanted nothing to do with that idea and all day yesterday, the only kids rides she wanted to do were the ones we could go on with her. Around supper time last night, she decided she'd give it a go as long as I promised, promised, promised to stay right there where she could see me and I did. She had a blast and didn't really look at me once the whole ride. I was so proud of her! She's always been super clingy and this is a HUGE deal in terms of Emma achievements.

My baby girl is growing up!

Oh, and as a funny experiment, I wore my heart rate monitor all day yesterday from the time we left the car in the parking lot until we arrived back at the car and in 11 1/2 hours, I burned 2433 calories so a long day at an amusement park is very good exercise. DH thought I was silly doing it until he saw the final number and then was pleased that the whole day almost burned off the funnel cake he ate by himself.

Wow 11 1/2 hours, thats a long time to be at a park. Im sure everyone was exhausted when they got home. Its amazing how much Julia is starting to look like Emma. I had to do a few double takes of Julia to make sure she wasnt Emma. YAY for burning so many calories, thats awesome!

There is NO WAY I would ride the big ferris wheel. Oooo it gave me goose bumps

The pics are so cute. I can not believe how much your girls are starting to look a like. Six Flaggs looks like a lot of fun. I love funnel cake. LOL

Jenn did you go to Great Adventure? I went there a really long time ago and loved it. I still have the Wylie Coyote I got there! lol

They are adorable, I couldn't see some of the pictures though.

Those are great shots! Looks like a fun day....and a hot one too! That is so special that Emma went on her first ride alone....I was really bad about that as a kid....I think I had a weird phobia of the carnival type workers!! lol! It's so rewarding though to see your kids do something new and brave by themselves....we had a first like that today....Grant can swim with a lifejacket around the pool by himself

I was so proud to see him willing to let go!

That is so awesome you guys enjoyed your day at Six Flags. And looks like your new Sit N Stand was a hit!

It's wild how much the girls are looking like each. Julia may be another freckle faced cutie like Emma! And yay for your big girl doing that ride all by herself.

That looks like so much fun! You're brave taking two little ones with you. We're going to an amusement park in a couple weeks and plan to leave Ella behind... I'm such a wimp.
