Wow!! Another boy..... My heart sank at first when I read that b/c I wanted that little girl for you. But I am thrilled that #6 is still healthy. They certainly are a gift from God. But, I was almost positive that this was your girl chance. Congratulations on another boy. I guess the good news is that you won't have to purchase much for this one. I think a girl would break your bank.

Wow Kirsten! That's great news! I have a nieghbor in my ward that has 5 or 6 boys, and the sad part is their father died when the youngest was under a year old, so she has had to raise those boys all by herself, and she did a great job! It's so neat to see them all sitting on a bench in their white shirts. They are such great boys. Boys are deffinately a gift from heaven, I would never change mine in for anything else!

Congratulations Kirsten!! What a wonderful surprise! I can't believe you've known since Wednesday and didn't tell anyone. Well, actually I guess I did the same thing so yeah, I can.

We all understand about the mourning of the "loss" of a daughter, but we also know that it doesn't negate the excitement you feel for having a healthy baby boy. There's something special about all boys and God chose you for that role. I am very excited for you!!!

Can't wait to hear the name you pick out!

Oh Kirsten, congratulations!!!!! I noticed in another thread that you were planning to tell your moms the gender for their Mother's Day gift and I wondered if you knew already and weren't sharing!

Ditto to what the other girls said-- you are truly blessed! And I love the thought of you having a ton of granddaughters someday!

I'd put some big money on BOY).

Oh wow!! Congrats! I think your feelings were completely understandable. I do think 6 boys is a huge blessing. After having 1 boy, I would love to have 5 more!

Congrats, Kirsten! That is such fun news. We can't wait to meet him! I bet your boys are so excited for another brother!

My SIL has 4 boys and is due in June with her 5th. She was hoping for a girl, and thought her boys wanted a little sister, too. So she was so worried to tell them that it wasn't a girl, but another boy in her tummy. After she told them her oldest, who is 13, said, "It's okay, mom, we secretly hoped it was another brother. We don't think girls are fun." Hee hee.
