It's so hard to tell in pictures! Do you think your LO will take after you or DH in that department?

How tall is your DH? Are you taller than your DH? Have you dated people with a huge height difference? Or someone shorter than you?

I am 5'5 and Steve is about 6'4.

My shortest boyfriend was 5'8. And shallow me, I didn't date him at first because of his height, mainly. Silly. He was a really nice guy and eventually I didn't notice that I practically looked him in the eye.

Anyway, just wondering how tall you are!

I'm 5'6"

Adrian's dad is 5'7" and Adrian is 5'11" and still growing so he didn't resemble either one of us.

Donnie is 5'7" but we both have a lot of very tall and very short people in our family so who knows who Ella is going to take after.

I've dated some tall men but it always felt awkward so for some reason I found myself more attracted to men who were closer to my height.

I'm a little bit shy of 5'7" and Jeff is around 5'-11"-6'0". He is probably one of the shorter guys I've ever dated-- I was always attracted to really tall guys too. So far, the rest of the kids seem pretty average in height, but MC is a real peanut. I think some of her Daddy's short Italian blood is coming out in her!!

5'4" here. And DH is 6'3".....he's the tallest guy I ever dated. Sometimes I can't stand the height difference. I think I might spontaneously kiss him more if it wasn't so inconvenient . I think DS1 will be tall but not as tall as his dad, and I think Jay will be closer to his dad's height. Dunno why....I guess cause Jay is just built more like him all over.

I'm 5' 4" and DH is 5' 11". I have a feeling Emma is going to take after DH and his side of the family. His mom is as tall as he is and his sister is 5' 8" or 5' 9" I believe so I think Emma will be taller than me for sure. Julia...well, she's probably going to take after my me and my mom's side of the family so she'll probably end up somewhere around my mom's height at 5' 2" or where I am.

Did you know that I child full grown will be double their height at 2 years old? Emma was 33 1/2 inches when she was 2 so if that holds true, she'll be 5' 6" when she's all grown up. Since Julia is only 29" right now, even if she grows an inch or *gasp* has a real growth spurt and makes it to 31" by the time she's two, she's going to just crack 5' all grown up.

Wow, that is an interesting little bit of trivia, Jenn! I need to ask my SIL what my nephew was at his 2 yr check up in June. His dad (Steve's brother) is 6'6! I dunno what my nephew's height is now, but I don't think it's 39 inches...which would be half his daddy's height. My FIL isn't even 6 feet. Wonder where his sons got all those extra inches?!

Could it be from your DH's mom's side? Does your MIL have any tall brothers or was her Dad tall? Sometimes the height comes from the other side of the family, not necessarily the fathers. Its happened a couple times in my family and DH's. All DH's brothers and himself get their height from their mom's side since my FIL and his dad are barely 5' 6".

Not sure about my MIL's father. He left their life when she was young and she doesn't care to discuss him and he died years ago. But I have met her brother and he is average height. I dunno, guess there are some tall genes in her family somewhere! (My FIL's father was under 6 feet as well so the immediate paternal side did not contribute that height!)

Anyway, I seemed to have collected lots of the negative physical traits from both my father and mother's side. Yay me. Cankles anyone? Ha ha!

I'm a bit over 5'4 and dh is 5'8. We're pretty darn close in height when I'm in heels. I dated a guy that was over 6'2 and it was kinda irritating at times to only come up to his armpit, so I guess it's nice that dh and I are a lot closer in height!

I'm actually a tiny bit taller than my Dad. My Mom on the other hand, is 5'11! In their wedding pictures, my Dad is standing on the altar step above my Mom.

I can't imagine Leo will get much taller than dh. Unless he takes after my Mom for some reason, who is the only tall person in our family!

I'm 5'4 and DH is 6'. My dad was 6'5" and my mom is 5'10", but the mailman was 4'8". Actually, my maternal grandmother and great-grandmother were both under 5'0", so I guess I take after them.

I'm 5'6" and DH is 5'10"ish. We were almost the same height when we got married, suddenly he surpassed me. I guess he had a growth spurt.

I dated guys that were the same height or just a tad taller than me. However, my longest relationship other than DH was with a guy 1" shorter than me. He had short man complex and I wasn't "allowed" to wear heels. It was a good thing I can't walk in them.

I'm 5'3 and DH is 5'7.

I use to date guys that were 5'7 and taller.I did at one time date a guy that was 2 inches shorter than me in high school...talk about awkward. lol

Jenn I have heard that. When Riane was 3 we figured out how tall she would be and we figures close to 6'. Well will see. I do know she will take after her Dad and I have a feeling Xandra will take me. But I think they will both be taller then me.

Im the shortest here....Im 5 feet even and DH is 5'9....MIL and him are the tallest in there family at 5'7 and 5'9......Nicholas is already at 3.5 feet and Mya at 4 even....Mya is on the short side and I think she will be short like me....Everyone in MY family is 5 feet and above only my grandma and I are short (from my moms side)
