Can you believe that!? I just got word today that since I was out on leave last year for giving birth (OK..they really don't care
why I was out...just the fact that I was out for unpaid leave around 30 days or so) they are pro-rating my raise and docking me 10 cents an hour!
So my supervisor would have given me that much more an hour since my appraisal worked out to be an "excellent" employee...but human resources says that she can't give me that much because I was on unpaid leave in the last 12 months.
Ridiculous! 10 cents adds up to a couple hundred bucks!
Man, having a corporate job stinks sometimes. Thanks for reading my rant.
Too bad we couldn't get actually paid to stay home and be the maid, chauffeur, nanny, cook, entertainer, nurse........ I hear that we would all be sitting pretty if that job paid like it should.
