Fever with MMR Vaccine??
Has anyone else's LO run a fever about a week after the MMR vaccine? Annalee had the vaccine last Monday and this evening she started running a low temp, it started out at about 100.5, and with Motrin went down to 99.5, and she just woke up @ 12:30 with 101.5...it just makes me worry, they say running a low temp is normal...so has anyone else had this???

Re: Fever with MMR Vaccine??
Carter hasn't had his (we are delaying indefinitely) but I remember after Ella had hers at 2.5 the ped mentioned that some kids will get a reaction about 7 days after the vaccine, like a mild measles rash, fever, etc. I bet with some Tylenol or Motrin she will be back to her normal self in no time

Re: Fever with MMR Vaccine??
it could be the vaccine but a week later, Im not sure they are linked. I dont remember which vaccines my kids had reactions to.
Low grade is normal, anything over 100.5 should be treated with tylenol. I dont think theres a reason to worry. all kids get high temps at some point. For the past 3 days Caleb has been spiking 102.4 out of no where, it drops and hes fine and then it comes back. no other symptoms at all.

Re: Fever with MMR Vaccine??
Thanks everyone, I knew the paper said it was possible for a fever 7-12 days later, she just has never had one above 100 degrees, so when it got to almost 102 I freaked a little, plus it was 1 am, that didn't help, she still has a temp today, but seems completely fine otherwise, so I feel better!!
