Can you recomend any books or resources for learning Japanese? Not for me, for my 6 year old, Jordan. Just before 2 1/2 he started speaking spanish (mostly from tv shows) and can still speak it but prefers not to. I'm thinking its b/c they had alot of ESL (english as second language) students in his class at school and his teacher always encouraged them to speak English before she'd listen to what they had to say in Spanish.

Anyhow, sorry to ramble. Id like to teach him just enough Japanese that I can take him out to eat and he can speak to the family who runs my favorite sushi place. He is always asking what they say and I'm sure they'd be awesome with him. I took TaeKwonDo as a kid (black belt on my 18th bday) and I just loved speaking to the su-chef in their language.

Any pushes in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
