That is so true, Jenn, they get you on that serving size!!!!!!! That was another thing that blew the minds of my seminar guests. A serving of ice cream is 1/2 cup. That is tiny!

It's a shame restaurants charge us high prices and give us big portions. I would opt for a smaller price and the right portion any day! (unless it's dessert.)

Yeah, I actually measure out my ice cream now and it is so tiny compared to what I used to eat but it doesn't take long to get used to the smaller portions when you cut them back. That 1/2 cup of ice cream is just satisfying enough now when I've been looking forward to it all day.

And I'm soooo with you on the cutting prices/cutting portions. I would very, very gladly pay half the price for half the portion. I never, ever finish a restaurant meal anymore and its such a shame to pay all that money for it.

Yeah I hear ya on the ice cream. I always get nonfat frozen yogurt and it still has 90 calories for a half cup. I mix up a cup of it and some fresh fruit into a so yummy smoothie and figure it's pretty healthy, and ~250 cals isn't bad for breakfast. Of course now that I'm pregnant I can't eat just that by itself or it makes me sick, too much sugar I guess at once, so I have to pair it with a muffin or something. But when I do that I cut back on the amount of the smoothie. That's why I like counting calories and watching portion sizes, because you can still eat yummy stuff.
