Re Intro...again....lol
Hello,
I'm not sure if anyone remembers me as the last time I was on here was back in June. I've never really posted much but I have been a lurker FOREVER.....lol. I have posted a few questions months ago and got great replies, but I really haven't needed to since someone seems to always ask the same thing I am thinking....lol. You guys always have the best advise and boy do I need some now...lol. I hope you don't mind me poping on again. I really need help, advise or suggestions!
My son will be one on the 9th and since Christmas hasn't been sleeping at night. I am going insane! He always slept from 7pm to 7am since about 10 weeks. I always layed him down still half awake and he'd sleep like an angle. Now I spend about 45 minutes trying to get him to sleep and then he wakes at 12 and 3. 3 is the worst, I used to just lay him back down and rub his belly for a minute and he'd be out. Now once he is up at 3 he stays up until 5 or so screaming. If I pick him up and hold him he is fine but as soon as I lay him down it starts all over. I know he isn't hungry since when I feed him at around 7am he takes 3 oz or so. I've changed him, tried a night light, took the nightlight back out, tried letting him cry it out (that went on for an hour). Nothing is working! I have used CIO in the past and had great results but it isn't working now. I know he isn't sick, he hasn't learned anything new recently (he has been walking since before Christmas) and he has no teeth. I don't think he is teething because he doesn't seem to be in pain and I can't feel anything.
I'm sorry to be so long winded I am just at my wits end. Every night seems to be getting worse. His naps are fine, I haven't changed his schedule at all (we have a very strict one). Last night I went in about every 10 minutes to lay him back down and he'd pull up on the side for me to hold him so I finally did and he was okay so I swayed with him for about 20 minutes and layed him down, got back into my bed and boom, up again screaming! I seriously thought of sleeping in my car last night (not that I would but when I'm sleep deprived I think strange things......lol) I hope someone can help. It's been 3 weeks of this and I am out of ideas and haven't slept more than 2 hours at a time. It's worse than when he was a newborn. Has anyone had this happen?
Thanks in advace and sorry for the novel!
Kristina
