What does are you on?
Hey yall! My doc decided to bump up my dose to 5mg today. I was just wondering what dosage yall are on? Have you ever started on 2.5mg then been bumped up to 5mg? Any weird s/e?

Re: What does are you on?
I believe I was on 5mg off the top but my doc was very aggressive with my IF treatment as we were on a tight time schedule due to my age, my immigration status and my dh and I living in two different countries. He was only here for a short time (we had 2 cycles before he had to leave). He lives in Cali and I am in Canada.
I did not have bad SE's at all but I took the med before bed so that the worst of it would happen when I was sleeping and it worked very well.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Wow! Two countries...that's horrible to be apart like that, but kinda cool that yall are countries apart, but are so close b/c of the baby. That's amazing! Are you still there or are you in the US?

Re: What does are you on?
Yes, I was always on 5mg. Near the end they wanted to up it to 7.5, but I'd read it really increases the chance of multiples, so I stayed with 5 and it worked eventually!

Re: What does are you on?
We are still living apart!!! I have to say its been the hardest 2 years of my life. The end of March will bring it to two years since I have been home. We have been fighting to win our immigration case and are in the home stretch. We are all praying it will happen before the baby is born BUT its getting down to the wire. My DH can travel back and forth but I can not till my immigration has been approved. (but finacialy its hard to do a lot of )
I truly believe it will be approved and that it’s just a matter of when. BUT I am so tired of being here alone and simply want to go home and put all this craziness behind us. It defiantly has shown us how strong our relationship truly is but we are both ready to move on as a "real" family and have this all over with. Living apart is extremely hard.

Re: What does are you on?
Amanda- I have been meaning to ask if you have heard anything more on your imigration status..... Keep us posted.
As for the dosage of Femara- I did the first 5 months on 5mg daily. This last cycle I also did 5mg daily and added in Follistim for the last 3 days. This helped to get more than 1 mature follie at the time of the IUI.... hopefully it works!
Honestly- the femara is the only med that has not given me any s/e- it is so much easier on me than the injectibles. Good luck~

Re: What does are you on?
Hi I am new here--well actually ds#3 was conceived using Femara and I was on the board here then but it was super slow then and I was on 5 mg then(just one lucky cycle). I am on 5 mg again and the hcg trigger. ONly had one good egg though and I truly believe I need more to end up pg. We will see after a few cycles of the 5mg if we up the dose.
