*Update on Genetic testing/hsg*

Well I spoke to my Re's nurse this afternoon First thing my bloodtype is A positive so no negative factor YEAH... Second they will be doing immune panel testing on my dh and I, one vial a blood a piece. After they get the b/w it is rushed to Indy to be tested to see if either one of us test positive. If either one of us is positive I will be treated with heparin injections and baby aspirin starting on cd 18 throughout the cycle or whole pregnancy(considering conception occurs), she said if the b/w comes back positive this very well could have caused my last m/c the way she explained it is the body attacks the fetus or tissue For example if you were getting a liver transplant your body would attack the liver tissue~the same situation with a fetus your body treats it a foreign object and attacks it. So Dh and I will be going on Monday morning at 8:00 for the b/w and the results should be in about 4-5days She also called me in provera to induce af, I start taking this on Friday!! Then sometime between the 4/12-4/24 we will do the hsg again. Then the next month we will be cycling again. So needless to say I am happy that the ball is finally rolling again. Sorry so long I just wanted to give you the new update.

First round Femara- 15.5 follicle (not big enough)
Second round Femara 5mgs/Follistim 75iu/Novarel-hcg/1000mgs met (4 follicles)-BFN!
Lap surgery August 15, 2007~NO ENDO/CYST Covered in "SCAR TISSUE" from infection? that was removed, HSG tubes cleared out again.
Waiting for post op appt with RE- "CLEAR" and ready to go again~1000 mgs Metformin, 2.5 mgs Femara 2x a day(five days), 75 iu of follistim(six days),Novarel (trigger) w/FOUR mature follicles ~ BFP 10/26!!!! Miscarriage @ Five weeks
Af 12/26-(63 day cycle-Provera induced)-40 mm cyst--Currently on BCP-
Starting Femara/follistim/Metformin 1/22/08-SIX mature follicles-BFP-2/17/08~M/C #2
April 16-HSG-ALL CLEAR! Some scar tissue on left side..but CLEAR!
Diagonsed with autoimmune disease will need Levenox and baby aspirin a day starting on cd 16...

Yay! Great news Nessa! I too am A positive, relieved to not have the Negative factor....Now just out of curiosity why is your RE not doing the full panel testing? Where they test everything including the genetic immune test.
I cant wait until you get to start your next cycle it sounds like you are so ready

Lou~I too wondered why they are not doing the full testing.
My guess is because the first m/c was ectopic and the second they are "pretty sure" it was a uterine pregnancy. So technially since I may have only had one uterine miscarriage they are just going to rule this out first with the immune panel testing and then pull out the big guns if I miscarriage again?? I don't know for sure I am going to my re's nurse the next time I speak with her. This is my guess though and especially with having pcos you are 50% more likely to miscarriage than a average women so that is the another obstacle. IDK...you def. read my mind though.

Nessa I'm glad you have things rolling again!! Hope you get your answers from the blood panel and from that you be really close to your baby

Oct/03/07 We have a 5w5d bean that blinks Oct/15/07 We are 7w3d and 156 BPM!!! Nov/06/07 10w4d Looks like a Baby!!!!!Nov/19/07 12w3d We saw "Baby" moving 20w4d It's a boy!! Everything looks perfect!!! Mar/12/08 28w5d He is healthy big boy! 3.1lbs and 141bpm!
