hi all, i just wanted to update, we recently were asked by someone close to us to adopt her child, she is due dec 27th. we just found out it is a boy friday so we are so excited.

Congratulations!!!! I am Mary Beth- new to the group...
My oldest brother is adopted. The docs told my mother she couldn't have children. They got him on Valentine's day 1973 and had 5 children after that. So- don't give up on trying to conceive- your new baby boy might love to have siblings!

How exciting!!!! I'm so thrilled for you and for it to be someone you know, that brings an even greater sense of relief when adopting. My stepbrother and SIL were fostering 2 sib girls and ended up adopting them. They had been TTC for over 7 years with no luck (IF and M/Cs). The month they finalized the adoption, SIL found out she was PG and carried that baby to term with no problems whatsoever. Another little girl. So they have 3 little girl stairsteps!
So happy for you Erin. It's going to be an awesome Christmas for you guys this year!
