Trigger Shot MUST KNOW!?!?!?

I POAS today. 10 DPO 11 Days Post Trigger. Faint Positive!!! Could it be?! I don't want to get too excited but seems last mo it only too 8 days for shot to be out of my system!?!?! Any advice?

How long does it take synthetic hCG (trigger shot) to leave my body before I can test for pregnancy? Every woman's metabolism is different, but as a general rule of thumb, you should allow 1 day for every 1,000 units of hCG you injected. The standard hCG dose is 10,000 units; thus, 10 days after the shot, the synthetic hCG should be gone and you should be able to test for pregnancy without detecting the shot. However, you should ask your doctor what the recommended protocol for your dosage is.

Some women choose to test daily to monitor the presence of the hCG in their bodies; once the synthetic hCG is gone, the tests become negative. If the hCG "comes back" and the HPT's turn positive again, it's likely due to a pregnancy and not the leftover hormone shot.

That being said, I hope that it's a true positive. I would say wait another couple of days and test again. Or even tomorrow if you are inclined to do so. Let us know how it turns out. Got my

OMGOSH!!!! I am sooo excited for you. I was soooooo worried about that when I tested pos the first time but I did not test till day 13 past my shoot....I was trying my best to hold out till day 14 but could not make it.

I know it depends on your body and how well you metabolize the drug but the general rule of thumb is 10 - 14 days. 14 for sure and 10 is iffy. BUT some ppl have it out of their system within 8 days. It’s so hard to say unless you track it from day one to see how your body reacts to the med.

I truly hope this is it for you. If your test results get darker then I would say you are defiantly PG.....KEEP US POSTED!!!!

Hey all. I called the doctor they said to wait 16 days!!! WTF. I"ve never heard of that long. Anyway today is 12 dpt and its still positive. same darkness but i took with FMU yesterday and midday after lunch today when I got home from work. We'll see! I've got one more test. I'm trying to wait until Sunday (when they said to test) but I may have to buy more. lol.

OH MY.....16 days seems way on the outside to me. I have never heard that and I read and asked everyone (Doctors, Nurses, pharmacists, etc) and they all said 10-14 days but most ppl are safe at 12.

Thank you guys! I thought it was a good thing that my watered down after lunch test was still positive!!! Fingers crossed but I am trying to be positive.... if I'm not pregnant it give me another month to lose some more weight! Since I started seriously TTC and was diagnosed with PCOS I've lost 50 lbs. I could do 20 more if I had time

but I'd prefer to gain 20 with a baby! Think GOOD thoughts!

ok ok... I'm grasping at straws now... but I went back to my August/Sept calendar to look at when I tested etc.... I got my trigger on 8/29 and then on 9/9 (11 days post trigger) I got a negative on an HPT. It was a different brand that might not as been as sensitive but today I'm 12 dpt and it was positive. Hoping its right and my body repeats itself in the pattern of getting rid of the shot... if so I might just be.....

Do you have another test for in the morning? Or are you just going to call the doctor or what. Please tell.

eeeeee.....I am soooo excited.....I can NOT wait to hear. I know I test with 5 tests (two different brands - just to make sure) over 4 days....LOL.

I could test in the AM but am trying to wait until Friday since that will be 14 DPT and I"ll feel more confident. The doctor said 16 dpt if i got a positive to call them and schedule a beta. THat is Sunday. Here's hopin'

Toady is 13 DPT and I'm still positive. No darker or lighter. Now I'm worried more than excited as shouldnt it be darker????

I heard the trigger out of you system 10dpo, I think this looks good with it still being postive 13 dpo! Keep us posted, how exciting. Are you going to post pic of the HPT?

I will at home (the pics are on my home computer not my work one!!) I have my 11,12,13 day post trigger pics. I hope I'm not getting excited for nothing!!! I'll post this afternoon! I worry since they are First Response Early Detection they might still be picking up the shot....but 13 days later??!?!?
