Default To those who are/have been on Prometrium

I have a Prometrium question! This was my first cycle on Prometrium; a progesterone deficiency wasn't confirmed with my miscarriage, but my doctor wanted me to take it as a precautionary measure. I take it 4 days after +OPK up until 14 dpo and either stop when I get a or continue thru 1st trimester if I get a .

For those that are currently taking Prometrium or have taken Prometrium:
In a non-pregnant cycle, did show up while you were still taking the Prometrium or did you have to stop the Prometrium to induce AF? Does anyone remember about how long it takes for AF to start once you've stopped the Prometrium?

I stopped taking the Prometrium on Tuesday and still no AF. At 16 dpo, my temps are still up, but I'm really not too concerned yet. I figure it probably takes up to a week or so before AF starts......but I would love to hear of other ladies' Prometrium experiences to know what I can expect!

Everything you said is correct. I took Pro every cycle as a precaution. Most of the time my would start 2-3 days following stopping the Pro. What dosage are you on? I took 400 mg / day. Hopefully will show up today or tomorrow. I know you are on a time crunch to get in an O before DH goes out aren't you? HTH

Thanks, Shannon. You're always so helpful! I really do appreciate all that you do for this board- you really hold it together.

My dose is 200 mg/day.

Oh, I would be oh-so-thrilled if showed up today or tomorrow! I've been having a sore lower back for several days now and that usually happens right before I start. I keep thinking to myself, "It should be any day now..."

Yeah, I'm kind of in a hurry to start so I can hopefully ovulate before my DH leaves. Looking at the calendar, if I "O" on/near cd 15, I should have enough time if AF is here by April 7th. That gives me like a week and half to patiently wait for . She should definitely be here by then, I hope!!

I would like to get in this last round, not only in hopes of getting a BFP, but if we're not so lucky and get the opposite, I will be going in to see my Ob-Gyn and we'll be working on getting my referral to an RE. So, if we're not successful this time, I'm hoping by the time he gets back , I'll have an RE helping out and maybe be on a new protocol or something!
