Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
The heat is on and the chatting is well underway. Let's keep it going.
How did you girls like that catchy title? Summertime, Summertime, Sum-Sum-Summertime...... I may be the only one old enough to remember that little song. I'll be even older tomorrow - YIKES!!! 42 is looking in my front window!
Hope everyone has been having a great weekend so far. Got to remember to post a "what you did this weekend" thread on Monday.

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
Shannon-I like all three! Good choice. How are things going? Pretty quiet around here, or Iam just anxious in my 8 day ww. This sucks.
Little Rant Here....
Did anyone watch Dr. Phil today!!!
There was a lady Ob on and a married couple who had been trying to get pregnant with their second child. The lady had one child before but had to take med's~ thats all they say. Anyway she want to give her other child a sibling and they had try everything and IVF her Husband was feeling she was only using him as sperm donor he was crying (pretty sad) she said she was paying like a $100 for HPT's and take them sometimes every 2 hours!! Addict to OPK's etc Its clear this lady has some kind of Medical/Mental issues, and this OB was telling them to just relax and go on vacation and quit be so obsessive and it would happen in a nut shell. How do you ladies feel about this before my rant continues...

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
Well I'm ranting machine right now But I always hate when people say to me that the only thing I have to do is relax!!! Saying that I have to say also that in some cases it's a good idea to take a break, and relax, for me right now everything is really over my head, I'm feeling too stressed, so as much as I hate to agree with my mother (the person who tells me to relax all the time!) I do need to be off the meds and try to relax...

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
Celi - Sorry about AF.
As for me I just got back from the RE. I can finally stop the Birth control pills I was on for 2w for cysts. Now I just have to wait for AF to start my meds all over again. Hopefully it will start in the next few days. I have been heavy spotting for 3 or 4 days now b/c of the pill. Today seems to be very light.
Hi Nessa good luck in your 2ww.
Hi Shannon and Heidi. and everyone I have been reading just not posting lately. My cycle was just a boring one the last 2w's.

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
I have to say I was OUTRAGED and sitting in front of the T.V. with my jaws hitting my chest (not literally but...) How DARE Dr. Phil and also a lady OB/GYN sit there and tell this women to relax, take a vacation, get your mind off it and it will happen!!! This woman def. needs some type of counseling and she is obviously having problems getting pregnant so MEDS are what she more than likely will need to have another child~hello~ she needed them with the first. I just couldn't believe that this lady was offered no counseling, and just told its fine you will get pregnant if you relax!! What kind of **** is that, GEE WIZZ thanks Dr. Phil for making it appear to the world that if you just relax or take a vacation your infertility will be cured and WAM BAM you will be become pregnant because *relaxing cured your infertility* I can see the thoughts in so many people heads now that think this must the TRUTH, it was 2 doctors saying this and one was DR. PHIL!! I will stop now but OMG WTH I use to love Dr. Phil and this has thrown me over the wall. You know he pays for people to have counseling for alcohol abuse, or beating their wife, or a tummy tuck, and for him not to at least offer her some kind of counseling p*sses me off~ he or she obviously doesn't understand the longing for a child!!
I am trying to hold until the 19th one week from today, I got my trigger last thursday at noon so 24-36 hours later means I could've shouldv'e O'ed latest Saturday morning so it will be 12 dpo, Right? Yeah. I think my Re's nurse said to wait 2 weeks and then do a HPT and call with results. Thursday seems so far away.

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
Hi ALL,
I had to take a break from the world for a while but i am back again, i hope you ladies are all doing great, i have been thinking about you all
Well the good news is, yesterday I passed my Citizenship Interview and Civics test (American History and politics) now i know more than most born here, crazy i tell ya.
The bad news is, my Miscarriage has been going on for over a week, 1st day lasted 6 hrs, 3rd day 1hr, 4th day 2 hrs and just on and off cramping since. I still have most of my pregnancy symptoms so Doc thinks I may have not expelled everything, and may need d&c after all But i just want it over with, so i will do what ever, i can't believe it tortured me this much, i believe in Karma, but for the life of me have no idea what i did that was so bad....But, I am trying to look at it that this needs to happen to time the next one right, "to be perfect" I hope you know what I mean.
The next good news is it is my big 30th today, I have so looked fwd to it, (i've heard 30's and 40's are your best yrs) But I started to think there would be this big cloud hanging over the day, but instead it turned out surprisingly wonderful. In the end I chose for it to be just myself, DH and the boys, we went to dinner and then to the movies to see "Ratatouille" Absolutely hilarious, we had a great time!
Well i hope to catch up on all your posts, sorry if i have missed anything big...Just know i have been thinking of you all, i just needed some alone time.
I did read posts on this thread though;
Nessa~ I too saw Dr Phil, wouldn't to bloody believe it, every where i look pregnant women, new borns, and then i turn on Dr Phil for the first time in weeks and here we an infertility story, i was so heart broken for the girl, and i was pissed that this was their "professional" opinion, are you ******** me (excuse my french) but seriously, we could have advised her better, or at the least shown her better support, her and her husband, i did feel for him too, as we all know, men are not quite on the same page, they try to be bless em, but not fully there...I refused to watch the whole thing I couldn't cope with it, all I thought was great! Now there's more put out there that infertility should not be such an emotional hard issue after all, just "relax and take a vaca" Maybe we should go around telling people with other health problems, nah don't stress go bask in the sun that'll cure all your medical problems...I know it has worked for some, but that is not the resolution for most....hahaha anyway i believe i gave you more than my 2 cents, at least $5.00 i think, can i get some change...LOL
Karen~ Thrilled to hear you can start meds again soon, sorry to hear about the BC....But glad all has worked out well and you will starting this cycle.
GOOD LUCK TO NESSA & CELI, & EVERYONE IN THE 2WW!!! FINGERS X

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
Lou,
So good to have you pop back in. I have had you on my mind; but figured you needed some healing time with just your family.
Sorry that the m/c has been so long and drawn out. I didn't wait for mine to happen on its own. I needed to get the whole thing over and know that things were starting fresh with a completely blank canvas inside, so to speak. The D&C was where that ansethesiologist gave me those words of wisdom I shared with you before about being "perfect enough". To look on the brighter side of having one; you won't have to worry about some little something still being in there to complicate and prolong your IF. It only takes the tiniest tissue that isn't supposed to be in there to cause other embies to not implant. My doc also told me that many women are very fertile after m/c's (if they are complete) or D&C's. So we will think positive and know that once everything is perfect inside, God will be able to send that little soul to grow within you.
for you sweetie. Really glad to hear from you. Happy belated b-day. When was it exactly? My 42nd was on July 8th. I can tell you the thirties are awesome!!!!

About to head out for DH's for the weekend. Will do my best to check in over the weekend, unless the wireless internet service in the RV park sucks again this weekend. If you don't hear from me, that's why. Hope Heidi is here to pick up my slack if that happens. She's such a great co-host. I appreciate you Heidi!!!!
Love and to everyone!!!!

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
I don't have much news but thought I'd chime in. I'm looking forward to next week when we finally get my DH's SA results. I don't expect anything bad since we conceived our dd with no issues, but who knows right?! I'm hoping our only issue is with me not O'ing. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
Hello Everyone!! I can't believe how much I have missed. Sounds like everyone has been busy, me too. Things just never seem to slow down. I just wanted to say hi and let everyone know that I am still around and working on ttc #2. I have to wait for AF to straighten out before I can start the femara again, but right now I am on metformin. Hopefully it will be all I need.
Good Luck to Everyone and Congrats to the ones I have missed!!

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
Well I brokedown and test today 9 past trigger to see if was out of my system and BFN! Is this normal? Way too early to detect pregnancy right? I thought HCG stayed in your system 10 days. Very sad today, dunno know why but I think its a complete BFN. Dh and I were suspose to go camping now I am crabby. Why did I do that? Just wanted any input you girls may have. Now back to the original plan NO testing until next Thursday.
Lou & bobandjen - Welcome back!!
Have a great weekend ladies!
AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
Hey there Jen and Phoebs! Glad you girls chimed in.
Jen ~ love the cycle pic! Is it a Harley? My Dad rode Harleys. I love them - loud as they are. They are like Americana, KWIM?
Phoebs ~ good luck on the SA results. What day will you be getting those? How much testing have you had done?
Ness ~ Don't kick yourself or count yourself out either. Go camping, take your mind off all this madness and enjoy yourselves. That way the time - at least the weekend time anyway - will pass more quickly.
DH's signal sucks again. But at the moment the lap is cooperating and letting me post. Hoping things improve. The A/C is out down here and the fan replacement DH had ordered and asked to be overnighted didn't show for him to have it fixed before we got down here. Fortunately we have an extra A/C unit in the bedroom and we are using tower fans to pull the cool throughout the trailer. Going to be a sweatier workout for me this evening. Maybe that means I'll sweat out an extra pound!
Everyone go out and have a great weekend. Be ready to tell all come Monday! I'll be home so I can post a post-weekend thread - unlike last week, when I attempted to post one from here and it didn't go through. Love you all! and

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
I go for the SA results on Thursday. Finally! I had to phone them just to find out if I WAS in fact ovulating. You kind of have to chase them on everything. They are very busy though; they're the only fertility center here so its understandable. As long as the results are good I don't care!
I've only had blood work and an HSG done. My doctor thinks its just an O problem, since there were no issues conceiving my dd. He did the HSG just to make sure there was no scaring from her birth.
I was at a baby shower today; always fun, ya right! And dh is sick, just when I think I'm O'ing....lovely......what timing!
Have a nice weekend everyone!

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
Hi girls! How is everyone? Sorry I haven't been posting as much! I've been trying my hardest not to think about TTC much since I am not able to be on any meds right now. I've also been very busy with work! I've been working atleast 35 hours a week! Sheesh!
Mommaphoebs- Yay! You get your DH's SA results Thursday! I'm very excited for you!
Shannon- How is the visit with DH going? Sounds like it was gonna be a sweaty one! LOL (In regards to the A/C being out; I'm not trying to sound dirty, honest!)
Nessa- My guess is that HCG shot stays in your system for approximately 10 days. I wouldn't be too worried about getting a BFN 9 dpo. Maybe there wasn't enough HCG left over from the shot to give a BFP, get what I mean? Plus, as I'm sure you know quite well....it's kinda early to be testing for pregnancy! So when ya gonna test for sure? And you better have gone camping, girl! That sounds like so much fun!
Jen- Good to hear from you again! Let's hope that AF straightens herself out real soon!
Lou- So nice to hear from you too! Hang in there, girl! I'm sure things will start looking up real soon. I am so glad to hear that your birthday was wonderful! I really want to see "Ratatouille"....it looks so darn cute!

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
Heidi- Thats too funny that you said that~ whenever I posted I knew that 9 dpo was too early for a HPT but sometimes it is nice to hear what others think. I am going to test Thursday, I have not tested since then. I am preparing for a bfn, I have still been crampy sometimes pretty painful cramps. Don't know what to think about the cramps and twinges I am really trying not to look into them at all but as you all know this can be very hard.
Karen- Hi girlie! Glad Af showed up for you and you get to start your meds~thats so exicting!
I did go camping on Saturday and we had a blast!!!! We went to Marengo Cave and went on two walking tours through these huge beautiful caves. It was just DH the dog and I so it was fun. Except when we tried to go to sleep Wonka(dog) wouldn't quit barking and go to sleep so Dh woke me up at 5:30 in the morning and said lets go home the dog is driving me nuts and proably everyone around us so we left really early in the morning. *SIGH* The dog going off didn't phase me I was getting some really deep ZZZZZZZZZZZ'S!
Just wanted to let you camping was fun and I didn't let the BFN ruin my weekend. Had a great time!
Just a quick ?? anyone who has had a BFP did you have implantation bleeding? Just curious. I know some do and some don't I was just curious if any of you girls have had it before?!

Re: Sum-Sum-Summertime Chat
Nessa ~ I totally understand how hard it is to wait, i do feel 9dpo is nothing to worry about though, they say "approx" 10days, so you are right there on the cut off, and as we know with all meds everyone reacts differently, your body may work faster when it came to the trigger....One thing i did to keep my mind off (tried to anyway) I kept a diary, i wrote down how i felt each day, symptoms and such...But you may already be doing this. Hope camping was fun!
MommaPhoebs ~ Good luck for Thursday, i'm sure you are excited.
Heidi ~ "Ratatouille" was great, highly recommend it.
Karen ~ Yay for AF, it's so wild how we resent her so much 90% of the time but welcome her at times like this...Roll on Wednesday! Will you be taking Gonal F?
As for me, i went for my b/w this morning, i am currently waiting on the results to see if i do indeed need to have the d&c, i am so feeling good again though, it appears all pregnancy symptoms have gone and am finally wearing no pads yay! 5 weeks wearing them was no picnic, i think i have shares with the "Always" company lol
Anyhoo wish me luck!
